In his podcast yesterday, Art Stapleton casually mentioned that he expects the Giants game in Washington to be on Saturday, December 17th, and not Sunday, December 18th.
I know a lot of us (including myself) were waiting for this information. Even though it is not official, it is still an educated guess from a strong reporter who has this type of information.
So while I am not sure of the accuracy, he seemed somewhat confident in stating this information.
He'd previously tweeted that his guess is we'd be the late afternoon game. But it sounds like it's just his speculation, not anything he's heard from league sources.
BAL-CLE, 1 p.m.
NYG-WAS, 4:30 p.m.
MIA-BUF, 8:15 p.m.
We'll find out next Monday, likely during MNF

is the motivating factor here. that game was the afternoon window.
The Giants have only had one prime time game this season. I think NFL will put them Saturday night. Just speculation on my part.
As of now, it's still Sunday 1pm EST.

Are you talking about this weekend's game? This thread is about week 15. They have to let them know 12 days in advance, which will be this coming Monday.
Ha, I hear you. My wife generally knows the rules but the holidays are always hectic.
My rule is, we can go anywhere you want to go as long as I can actually watch the game. We have family things on the 11th and 18th so switching to the 17th would actually work in my favor, even though I know the game will be on at both parties. I still prefer to have my space.

holiday plans already infringing on the Vikes game for me.

If I can keep the extended family at bay, I should able to watch the Vikes game before getting in the car. But, the 17th is not looking good.
My thoughts as well. not sure the NFL will do that. Giants are also the road team. Short week Giants, vs long week Wash, and Giants on the road may not fly.
Just send a nice present. They will understand.
The disparity in days off isn't something that snuck up on anybody, it was always part of the schedule, and the league nonetheless chose to put that game on the list of games which could be moved up a day. If they were concerned about giving the Giants a short week, on the road, against a team coming off the bye, they never would've put it in the pool of 5 games in the first place. I think the decision will be purely ratings driven, and looking at the other choices, Stapleton's guess makes sense - this is one looks more appealing than all of them except the Bills/Dolphins.
For me too. I have a holiday event at my Lodge that night. Am actually hoping its the 1:00 that Saturday if they do move it
