Can’t give a C+ player an A player money in a cap league. The Knicks should’ve learned their lesson after over paying Tim Hardaway Jr years ago. This is why they pick 10th in the draft every year.
I can't imagine two pro athletes that I view more differently than Daniel Jones and Julius Randle. I kinda like Jones and I kinda don't like Randle. Jones seems the epitome of team player and Randle ... not so much.
Other than not being franchise players - they could not be more different. One is lazy, immature and puts himself above the team. The other does everything the way you would teach your kid; hard worker, mature and is a leader on and off the field.
This is purely about allocating assets to a player that will make you mediocre at best in a league with a cap. That is all. There is nothing worse than drafting 10-15 every year.

Your thread is moronic. So no team ever overpaid a decent but not huge contract to a mediocre player and won?
Mom should keep you off the computer this late at night. - 8:30?

I wish we could drown in a bathtub this prevailing idea that drafting in the middle of the first round is the worst possible thing. It's not. Quality players are drafted all over the place each year. And top draft picks under-performing their status isn't exactly uncommon either.
We're a mediocre team with Daniel Jones throwing to a crop of no-name WRs from behind a still-being-rebuilt offensive line. I don't understand the confidence people can have in the belief that Jones won't perform better with expected improvements in his supporting cast.

Your head in a big bowl of shit. Come on out after the game is over and then everyone will have got what they earned. Mr. Smarty over here. Big game and he is going to enlighten all of us. What a fucking fan you are.
But if you wanted to compare Daniel Jones to a Knick, it would be RJ Barrett.
Both hard workers, likable, team guys. Both with mixed results. Some think they can be impact players, some see them as pedestrian. Lots of people on the fence with both; the right decision on both is critical to their team’s future success.
It’s a triple, he’s taking shots at Jones, Randle, and Knicks
Well he isn't John Randle.
Otherwise, he is nothing alike.

Stop selling hope in his fourth year.
You need to have results by your fourth year.
