Really thought for sure we were going to lose this one once it went to OT. 7-4-1 and in the playoff hunt. Not terrible once you stop agonizing over that 4th down play by Heineke or the Felician Flex.
RE: RE: Feliciano probably cost us the W in regulation
But the Daboll from Week One seemed to be gone today
Nope.
It’s almost never one play over 60 minutes.
This game is on our terrible offense 100% if you are looking for someone / some thing to blame this mess of a game on.
Yes, but I mean if Feliciano didn't have that taunting penalty, we would've been in pretty dan good field position. We could've probably gotten into FG range.
the Giants were going to win They did well to come away with the tie. The play calling and execution were again just terrible, the defense seems like it has regressed.
RE: Anyone got a pic of Feliciano showing his muscles?
Yup and Kafka is on my shit list today as well. Four second half drives in a row with terrible first down calls. Run into the line is BS. Not one play action instead or anything else for that matter.
Really starting to wonder if he’s the guy to call the O. Other than that this injury depleted team payed their hearts out . I know we got some guys back but missing two top DB’s was evident today.
Don't be an idiot. They had plenty of chances to move the ball. The offense sucked the entire 2nd half but go ahead and go for the low hanging fruit and blame it on Feliciano
not sure if injury or what but I don't have the same confidence in him I did at the beginning of the year. Most kickers can get the distance on 57 yarders.
That stupid ass play by Feliciano when the real disaster is right in front of our faces — the entire offense.
The offense was horrendous after they got to 20 points, but the Feliciano penalty was one of the dumbest things in the history of professional football.
was awful. His ultra conservative play calling is maddening. As before, he continues to run Barkley against eight man boxes. No misdirection, no using him as a decoy, no play fakes with him on the field. Whether because of the OL, Jones, or are lack of WRs, he's terrified of throwing the ball, especially on first down. But that's exactly when you want to throw the ball with a bad OL, suspect QB, and no WRs. And why no Breida or Brightwell?
Feliciano, Gates, and Glowinski were awful.
Moreau was burned a lot of McLaruin in the first half, but we did a better job containing him in the second.
Horrendous tackling all day, except by Love, who was excellent again, along with Lawrence. That fourth and four desperation heave by Heinicke was a killer. It looked like Flott lost Samuel on the play.
Don't blame Gano on that 58 yard FG. It's cold and that's a long kick.
Didn't see enough from Barkley or Jones to justify keeping them frankly. Time is running out for both.
RE: RE: Daboll called a TO with 9 secs on the play clock
The second half O was....yikes. Give credit to the D. All the plays on the field and they still found a way to do its job. Down X, Jackson and then Williams in the second half.
Just one O drive in the second half might have been enough outside of the one where the D created the turnover.
By the coaches and the players. No excuse and doesn’t matter that no one thought they’d be decent this year. Feliciano is too marginal a player to be given a pass for stupidity. No WRs and a conservative playcaller trying not to lose. These are theGiants we all expected. At least the secondary has an excuse.
That stupid ass play by Feliciano when the real disaster is right in front of our faces — the entire offense.
Yet without that stupid penalty they most likely go up two scores late. Were you watching the same game? It was a huge setback and a needless stupid one as well.
playcalling had a lot to do with it. However lets not forget the defense let Wash convert a 4th and 20 (or whatever) from their own 10, and then let them go right down the field for a TD. That is pretty pathetic too
RE: When I watch and don’t see much difference between Jones & Heinicke
Because Heinicke has McLaurin, Samuel, and Dotson, and Jones has Slayton (body catcher almost cut), Jones (body catcher picked up as a street free agent) and Hodgins (waived by the Bills). I've always said I don't know what Jones is or can be, but if you don't see the difference in the two situations, well, sorry, but you're blind. Not to mention Heinicke was playing against a defensive backfield without it's two best players.

I thought that they got wildly conservative when the pass protection was atrocious early. But some of the playcalling was inexcusable. The 3rd down play before the Giants FG was a give up play. It’s 3rd & 5 and they didn’t even try to get it. They never use Breida regardless of how shitty Barkley looks.

We absolutely win if not for that. I blame him for a week of stupid comments to come.

With that dumbass taunting penalty.
Slayton dropping an uncontested beachball gets honorable mention.
How does someone drop a ball that they already caught???!? Mind numbing stupidity.
Thats actually not what happened. The TO was called right away and the clock reset to 1 minute 23 seconds. At least be accurate
That stupid ass play by Feliciano when the real disaster is right in front of our faces — the entire offense.
It's like Daboll and Kafka don't trust his arm, but once in a while they'll draw up a play like they're coaching Allen or Mahomes.
We will never know what the playcall is vs what Jones may or may not change it to. This is a hard point to be critical on.
Counts as half a win and half a loss.
Go to bed.

What is a no 3? a slot receiver? he certainly isn't that. he is a decent player to have on a rookie contract. he's not that next season.
+1 I thought the same thing. If you going to call time out call it immediately not 20+ seconds into the play clock.
I agree.
D held its ground all day.

Everyone thank Flex Feliciano for the tie today or else we get the W.

again, the clock was reset to 1:23 because thats when the timeout was called. So they didn't wait, the clock guy just kept the clock running

It's pretty much WCO with the RARE, OCCASIONAL deep ball. But it's just...weird.

I'm talking about the playcalling, in general, this season. We've got to be last in big plays, right?
Just one O drive in the second half might have been enough outside of the one where the D created the turnover.
I’ll have more time to catch up on my DVRd shows lol
LOL. I love Gano, but it's true that it seems like all the big kicks happen AGAINST us and never FOR us....well, expect for the Randy Bullock one.

the Giants will "try" to keep them both, but not with offers they would accept.
I can say the same about Barkley and Robinson.
Very disappointing tie.

Slayton two weeks ago. Slayton on thanksgiving.
Quote:
Their luster has definitely worn off
Except the big passes they called to try and win the game but Slayton dropped. Actually watch the game before commenting.
They sat on the lead 20-13 and expected the Defense to be perfect . All the Aggressiveness and creativity from beginning of the season is gone

Why should Schoen pay up for Jones?
I can say the same about Barkley and Robinson.
Very disappointing tie.
Do you see a difference in Jones WRs? Blocking? Running ability?
Nope. Jones is a much better QB than Heineke. Jones needs competent offensive line play and QUALITY RECIEVERS!!! Slayton is a no. 3, at most
