I thought it was awful. They played for a field goal in the first half from the start of the drive. And in the second half, that second shot downfield was stupid. They needed to play for la first down and take some time off the clock. Kafka or Daboll, however, not smart, imo
Interesting.
Interesting.
maybe I'm missing something. Where did he say that?
Hard to place blame here if we are being honest.
Interesting.
Weird response
Daboll.
And he and Daboll own this horrific offense
he only had like 3 incompletions today, no ints, and 1 of the incompletions was a drop. at some point dont you have to give him a chance to fail instead of trying to avoid failure at all costs?
Interesting.
I'm missing the need to put words in my mouth and create a straw man
Daboll.
And he and Daboll own this horrific offense
This is an utterly ridiculous post.
this is stupid. he hadn't thrown an incomplete pass the whole first half. Why wouldn't they take a shot to the endzone at the end of the half at some point?
Daboll.
And he and Daboll own this horrific offense
that's an overreaction. they were never going to stay perfect in terms of coaching decisions like they were in the first 10 weeks, and the offense is still functional. they just need to stop coaching afraid and trying to outscheme everything. let the players play.
philly is going to put up a lot of points on this secondary next week so like they dallas game they need to cut the passing game loose.
This. x1000
And yet, Jones had gone 14 for 15 in the half, with the only incompletion being a spike
By run, I mean hide. Scheming gets you only so far.

you'd fire the coaching staff?

Why would you keep a head coach who is stupid? Bill says Daboll is stupid.

You said Daboll is stupid. You support keeping a stupid head coach?
Interesting.

He did not say they were stupid, he said IT was stupid.
Yes, he was talking about the decision.
Jeez Louise.
Jeez Louise.
I read it as him calling the head coach "not smart"... if he's talking about the decision, then I misinterpreted what he said.
Our blocking was poor, tackling poor and I think it's fair to question okay calling at certain points. Plus, that Wash defense is legit.
7-4-1 is a minor miracle with this roster, but the early success has made what was mostly inevitable so frustrating to watch.
Still have a shot at the playoffs though
Interesting.
Your pretentiousness is becoming irritating...

Awe... did I hurt your little feelings? So sorry.
Hey, if the site becomes too much for you, leave.
Or the receivers. We saw them get aggressive for that one late series - dropped deep ball by Slayton, bad deep throw by Jones, near INT by Jones. Terrible series, that almost gift wrapped the win until the defense stepped up late
This team competes, but I think some people overlook the fact they’re still really not that good. And the coaching staff knows it
It’s not like we’ve got Mahomes out there and they’re calling it conservative

No feelings necessary, I'm just observing the most impartial poster on this site, someone who railed against sycophants, become, well, a sycophant.

If that's what it seemed like I meant, my apologies. I meant to say the the calls were stupid, not that the coaches were. I will, however, stand behind saying that Daboll is fat, lol.

The Costanza trifecta.

It is a miracle that they are still in it in December...but when your QB is 14/15 and his only INC was a spike to stop the clock, you take a chance on the EZ. An incomplete stops the clock without needing a spike.
I will say Barkley should have had a couple 1st downs that he did not attack the LoS - especially early 3rd qtr on a 2nd and two. Then a bad QB run play that was stopped 1 yard short.
Because clearly, the defense didn't think they were playing for a tie.
Yeah, you're brilliant as usual. If you send Daboll as message, I am sure he will be happy.

People lauded our conservative play calling to end out halves because they felt that our elite staff would make magical second half adjustments. We would “wear them down” with our ground game. I was ripped when I called it out earlier in the season.

I’d be happy enough if posters like yourself got the message.

Once you understand that, everything makes sense. They trust him on play action to make short, simple throws that are right in front of him. They don't trust him at all in the pocket doing anything more than quick swing passes, especially n throwing situations
exactly. We may end up with a new qb room next season. There is no sense keeping Taylor around either.
Really? If Jones is gone, who do you see starting next year other than Taylor? And please be relatively specific, more so than "a draft choice or a FA"
Just trying to manage the season for the best chance of success. We
will know next month!
