No matter who screws up, with you guys there is never any context, it s “always”’Daniel s fault
You are the exact same poster so I would not throw stones. According to guys like you Jones can only win games. Losses are always everyone else’s fault.
It is so weird watching the two extremes on this site talk to each other like they are somehow being impartial.
For those guys, Jones will always suck. For guys like you, Jones will always be a great QB nobody else can see.
5 possessions late, ZERO points. Jones touches the ball every play. He can change a play if he sees a bad matchup. When he gets to throw, find a guy, make the play. I don’t see a winner here, just someone we make excuses for and argue over.

Not true Mike, never said he was. Great quarterback
But I also understand what you guys claim are excuses, are reality, he is not surrounded by a very good supporting cast
For handing off to Saquon on first down and he loses 3 yards…
It’s Jones’ fault Slayton dropped that long pass….we always ask Jones to take chances and give our WRs a chance to make a play….well, that was Jones’ fault for not making that long pass a bit better….
It’s Jones’ fault when we had first down on the 35 but then Feliciano gets called for a taunting penalty and takes us out of FG range.
And it definitely was Jones’ fault for allowing Samuel to get free on that 4th down play with Heinecke running to his left throwing across his body…

Jones does not play defense, he was not responsible for allowing the Commies to convert a 4th and 21! We get it, you hate Jones, you see him as the problem. What is your solution?
IMO it's more Barkley's fault. He's killed the team in the 2nd halves the past two games (and against Detroit he sucked the whole game, he was outplayed by Breida IMO).
You know when announcers talk about how great RBs "just get stronger in the 4th quarter!" well in the past two weeks Barkley gets weaker.
I'm glad he rejected the Giants more than generous offer.

When the WR is wide open, we ask him to throw a good ball. He threw one off target that was catchable, but it was a poor throw. And Slayton made a good adjustment to a bad ball on the 55 yarder.

Just find a guy. What a brilliant bit of analysis. Holy fuck!
But I think I captured most of the reasons why in this post-mortem:
-- Kafka
-- Daboll
-- Feliciano
-- Slayton
-- OL
Does that capture most of the excuses?
Jones is not the guy, IMV. But that play calling by Kafka was horrendous in the 2nd half. It is like he loses where he is at in the game. I turned the game off half way through the 4th qtr. Just horrendous play calls and execution by Barkley. I could not figure out what Kafka was trying to do, even if the WTFs did.

See, it's statements like this that make it really difficult to put stock in some of the DJ criticism. The long completion was NOT a poor throw. It was actually exactly where it needed to be considering the position of the DB. And if you're saying the missed throw to Slayton was a poor throw, I'm sorry that's just flat out wrong. The ball hit him tight in the fucking hands.

Once we went up 20-13 after the Heinicke fumble, we needed Jones to make more plays.
Because it was clear after halftime, IMV, WC decided that SB was not going to beat them. I think he had 7 carries for basically 0 yards for the second half and OT combined.
These are circumstances where a franchise QB steps up and figures it. Jones came up short this time...
Agree with this, Jones you can crush him for the fumble in the first possession but I thought he did ok and well enough to win. Slayton was pretty wide open so I think that is something that can be nitpicked. Hey ran for some big plays as well and that is too often overlooked with DJ.

That goes against your narrative you so desperately want people to see…”it’s all Jones’ fault….You want Jones to step up in the 4th but why not say anything about Saquon? Don’t you want him to step up too? Excellent post.
We already have one poster on record saying he would have no problem giving Jones $40M/year. And he wasn’t kidding.
