Graham Gano

AD-Blaze : 12/4/2022 6:30 pm
I don’t know. I was expecting wide left or right if it was missed but I definitely didn’t think he’d come up short. I for one thought Graham had a bigger leg than what we saw on that missed field goal in OT. Anybody know how much it was missed by?
He came close

that is a tall order into the wind degrees. I love Gano one the best kickers in the game.
I was there

Warmups he was hitting from 54 that direction. He actually hit the crossbar on a 54 yarder. The other direction he hit one from 57 in warmups. I knew that kick was going to be short.
He’s already said that 53 was the number

In that direction. The wind was in his face and it was cold. There was zero chance of him hitting from 58
He should be executed

Via a gullitoine. What an idiot
He kicked a 57 yard field goal against dallas.

He was 5/6 from 50+ for the season before today.

58 yard field goals are hard. They should not be considered routine plays.
Yea I think we’ve been spoiled

By how good Gano has been on 50+ yarders. That’s a tough kick to make in the wind.
indoors he hits that no problem

a 58 yard field goal in NY in December is tough for every kicker. Giants had multiple opportunities to not leave it in the hands of an outdoor winter 58 yarder.
...

Scott Norwood makes that FG with yards to spare.
He said the wind was a factor

Going into that end zone

Gullitoine is too humane.
58 yarder in the Meadowlands would've been a career kick

I was impressed it was as close as it was. Maybe hits the crossbar from 55?
That begs the question

Why didn't the Giants have the wind in the fourth quarter?
The choose to kick off at the half with the wind.

I did not understand that logic.

It was overtime. Giants won the toss and chose the ball. Washington chose to take the wind
You are right

My bad somehow I forgot overtime

Your only excuse for that dumb comment is if you weren’t watching the game.
The guy has been great...

and also kicking a cold ball makes a difference.

Exactly. This shouldn’t have to be explained, but here we are.
both kickers were having issues..
BillKo : 12/4/2022 10:14 pm : link
...kicking at that end in pre game and at halftime.

That's why WSH sent us that way after the coin toss in OT.

WSH kicker is pretty good and he was short on a 51 yarder.

Gano making that was going to be extremely low percentage.
