To as the turning point, one direction or the other. I fear that we blew a win here and though we left with a tie I think mentally we left with a loss.
All the talk about Jones, Slayton, Kafka play calls etc., Two really big issues are being missed:
We are a horrible tackling team and Barkley just isn't the same guy from earlier this year..

Can't disagree. I feel like every running play they got 6+ yards. And so many plays the defense had dead to rights only to let the Wash player off the hook and make a big gain. What a frustrating freaking game. The win was there for the taking.

The lack of tackling at pivotal points in the game was astoundingly bad. The Giants can not survive these gaffes with our impotent offense. Let's hope a competent infusion of talent can be acquired this off season.
McKinney and Jackson. They were integral in run support. The decision to have him return his 3 punts for 5 yards was one of the worst decisions this year by a coaching staff that started well but is inching towards previous regimes in the last few games.

I definitely am not. Our secondary was abused today. I'm furious with McKinney and I'm pissed at the staff that they had Jackson returning punts looking at what we have behind him at CB. It has turned our defense backwards more than a step.

The Commanders have just as many reasons - perhaps more so - to be pissed.
They out-gained the Giants in every important category and still lost the game.
The only thing that really makes me shake my head is how the hell did Heineke not fumble the ball when he was blindsided by Thibodeaux?

And both those guys aren’t playing because of questionable decision making. One by the coach, and one by the player.
The “make believe” world that Banks is talking about is what reality should have been. Sigh.

Without a doubt regarding Washington but we had the 7 point lead in the second half and two different opportunities to make that 10-14 point lead and we did nothing.
I do agree, how did he hold onto the ball on that hit?
A good future. Let's be honest, I was pissed at the play calling as much as anyone. Buy we don't have the horses right now. I am fine with Jones. But we need help in the defensive backfield, inside linebacker, and pass reviewing that just is not coming this season. McKinney is shot for the season, and Jackson is too little too late. We are building, we have the GM, coach, QB, and next is filling out the roster and continuing to build.
No franchise QB bullshit either. There are 3 or 4 great QB's in this league. Three for certain. Maybe the Eagles have number 4, but that is still unanswered. Burrow, Mahomes, and Allen are the only three that are real difference makers. The Eagles have a good defense, great recievers, the best offensive line. Sure he looks great right now. We'll see.

But, I felt this was a game we gave away. We took a 7 point lead, played solid D and then in the 4th and OT had 4 or 5 drives end in Washington territory with no points. I felt it was more our lack of execution then Washington exerting its will.
I don't blame Gano, but I thought he was hitting that. The wind was tough at that end. IF he hit it, today would feel a little better because of the W, but would still fell like a ton of missed opportunities. This team just hasn't gotten to the level of being able to step on throat of an opponent and put them away, like Dallas did to Indy in the 2nd half.
I expected problems because he was one of our 3 or 4 best players on D. But, I felt Love and Belton were good in their own rights. But, his void really took a lot of bite our of the D. Love is not the same player without McKinney; he's good, but but not next level.
is the incorrect spot at the end of the first half. If that were a first down as it should have been, we would have had probably two shots at the end zone before needing to kick the FG. I thought we had the momentum there to score a TD but for the wrong spot.

Yep I felt the same way.
