What a horrible use of a timeout to save 9 seconds and waste all that time on the next play. I wondered if we had a substitution problem. There have been quite a few times this year where we've had 10 guys on the field.
Dabs still doesn't know how or when to use his timeouts.
At least he doesn't waste them on defense and early in the game. But, he doesn't get how to manage the clock at the end. Hopefully he can approve upon that in the off season.
Not throwing at least ONCE into the end zone at the end of the first half was a disgrace.
I didn't have a big problem with it at the end of the game
I was really frustrated with the way they handled the end of the first half. They were far too focused on not punting it back to WAS, which I think was justifiable at the outset of the drive. But once they picked up a first down, they kept that same approach and failed to shift focus into capitalizing on what was a legitimate opportunity to score a touchdown.
A FG in that situation is hardly demoralizing, but they left a lot of chicken on the bone.
What was Daboll doing calling a TO on D there right before we got the ball back the final time?
2 huge missteps.

You're watching TV wrong. Washington called TO there, not Daboll.
It seems to me the early season Daboll- playing to win- is regressing somewhat and hs now become- playing not to lose.

Daboll doesn't call plays.

Given the playoff implications of a loss, playing for a tie today was absolutely fine im my estimation. I think Daboll made the same calculation.
