Although it doesn’t look promising. Losing to Det and todays tie have put our playoff hopes in danger. 2 games against teams on our competition level and we didn’t take advantage.

Giants shouldn't beat the Eagles
Giants shouldn't beat the Vikings
Giants will have a hard time with WTF on the road, them off a bye
Giants should beat the Colts but it won't be easy
With that said, I think the wins are the Colts and Vikings. Vikings are the better team but struggle to win games impressively...and they struggle against good defenses. Just might be a close game we can pull out.
The Lions could actually run the table and finish 10-7. If they win their next two games I'd say that is likely.
Good post.
I really hope they make the playoffs. Don't want to read boring lectures about how proud everyone is because they "played over their heads" yet they failed to make it to the playoffs again. Yuck.
Maybe 9-7-1.
But 8-8-1, whodathunkit?
If you had not followed the season since last May, and I mentioned that the entire draft class was injured, that Toney was dumped and Golladay might be inactive the rest of the the year, that AJ had an MCL, and XMc got hurt riding an ATV on bye week, and…..
Would you guess we’d have even 7 Ws with the schedule we have?
… is very disappointing given a 6 -1 start with quality wins over the Titans, Packers and Ravens. But all the wins in the 6 - 1 record were close that could have gone either way, so, say 3 - 4 would have been entirely possible.
I think the fact that the Giants were sellers rather than buyers says a lot about how the Front Office and Coaching feel about the roster.
The OL and secondary injuries spoiled the best chances of securing a playoff spot prior to the tough end of the season schedule.
I’ll still contend that 8 - 8 - 1 is still a successful season, but I’ll add “relative to prior to that season expectations”.
The play that still pisses me off is allowing that scrub of a QB Taylor Heinicke (Stupid name) get loose, find his man, get that completion off on 4th down. Game should have been done with right then and there and walked out the field with a win. Nope.
Hope that doesn't come back to burn them in the end but isn't that what the Giants do?
Our QB can’t make plays with his arm. Without the jump ball to Slayton he was 24-30 for 145 yards. That’s pathetic. I’m sure the GM and coach took note (despite Daboll saying he thinks Jones “played well”! Yeah, ok, whatever
They collapsed at the end because they were on the field the entire second half as the offense took the 3rd and 4th quarters off.
I think they finish 9-7-1. It will depend on how far the defense can carry them. If they can generate turnovers and field position the offense won’t be asked to do much.
All the magic that got us to 6-1 seems gone. It’s back to reality with a roster that’s bottom 5 in the NFL. Let the rebuild continue. I hope Daboll doesn’t continue the conservative trend next year. He seemed like a refreshing drink of water coming off of Judge and Garrett.
If I didn’t know any better and I woke up from a coma and you showed me the 2nd half of yesterdays game… I’d have told you that it was 2021.
Which all of us would have signed up for before this season started. But just like a poster above noted, after starting 6-1 most of us would like a playoff birth.

7-2 1st Half
1-6-1 2nd Half
Tail of 2 seasons. The injuries as usual.....
Off season big in my opinion.
Very big!!! Joe Schoen needs to hit on several draft picks!!!
I’m gonna say we win the Colts game and lose the others
Sure, I could be wrong. But even if Philly rests all their guys in the last game, I still think the Giants lose. Facing Henicke and Cooper Rush didn't get them a win. Why should facing Hurt's backup be different?
Maybe they beat the Colts. But they're not playing well enough to beat many teams right now.
minnesota is a very winnable game considering they'll have the division wrapped up and then some by then. we might be able to beat them at their place.

Never say never, but Minny won’t be resting their starters that early. I’d feel a lot better if it were home.
Whether it's 1 or 2 will be the difference between playoffs and no playoffs. And it will come down to random events in close games as all our games against mediocre teams have - missed FGs, untimely penalties (by either team), the bounce of a ball, a yard at the goal line, a bad snap, etc.
If we make the playoffs, we're going to lose pretty badly. It's all fine - we're not good now and we were never supposed to be

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't the Vikings be putting in the effort to potentially get the #1 seed in the NFC? If they run the table they get to 15 wins. Philly and Dallas both have tiebreaker advantages but the Vikings aren't just going to pack it in because they have their division locked up.
(I don’t really believe this, my real choice is 10-6-1, two losses to eagles or split and lose to Vikings, but it’s amazing that a giants fan page is more excited for the lions to win out than for the giants to win two more games)
their backups. I think we win the Indy game. Those are the only two I feel confident saying that we can win (assuming the Eagles clinch #1 seed by that time).
but I wouldn't bet on it - if McKinney and Jackson come back after the Eagles game - they'll have a punchers chance on 3 more wins
I only thought this team would have 3 wins this year so they've been a pleasant surprise for me.
The roster needs a ton of work!!!! onward and upward.
Who cares about surprises? I had them winning 5 games myself, but missing the playoffs after starting 7-2 doesn't let them off the hook. I know it's a common thing these days to all happy for mediocrity but let's make the playoffs?
Agree with the Lions game

2-3 over the next 5. Eagles games will be ugly.

Lol. Case and point. Eight wins is now considered a huge success around these parts.
But 8-8-1, whodathunkit?

We have to find a way to beat the Vikings and eagles, and Washington. I think it will come down to our defense. Our offense is anemic.
One more win.
That’s it.

Getting into the playoffs is good for the program. I’d rather get in and get blown out than not get in at all.
Look at the Eagles last year.

But, ya gotta be init to winnit. Sadly, we won't be in it.

If they lose at Washington, it's basically impossible for them to get in at 8-8-1 unless Seattle and/or SF collapse completely.
Seattle has 4 of their last 5 at home, vs CAR, SF, NYJ, LAR. They're going to win at least 2 of those which gets them to 9 wins.
Maybe without Jimmy G the 49ers don't win another game, but all they need is one win.
Where do you see yoir 3 wins coming from?

I don't think they win another game, but I think they will beat the Colts in a meaningless game.
This will mark the end of the Jones/Barkley era.

WFT Colts Eagles.

Missing the playoffs should give Schoen a clear mandate with regard to QB. It's limping into the playoffs that might result in no man's land, IMO.
