Going a min of ten points clear and importantly a two score game and everyone knew they would just go down and tie up the score.
The difference in the running game was their back was well over the LOS before taking any contact, where as the Washington DL were penetrating the gaps and into the backfield as Barkely was taking the handoff.
They said we were closely matched in a lot of ways but as always on 3rd down the pass rush was about 2 seconds from getting there but the qb always managed to find an open receiver who would haul in the ball and move the sticks.
I notice also that the wildcat seems to have been taken out of the playbook now ? not seen it for a while ?
I hope the pass rush goes from nearly got there, to getting there in the coming games, it's going to be vital if we are going to live with any of the teams coming up.
Very frustating knowing that 3rd and 13 will result in a reception to an open receiver, but when the Giants are in the same position our only real threat is Jones taking off on a long run.
Pleased with a lot of progress in some areas but very much a work in progress in plenty of other areas
Good Points. I do believe there is PLENTY of blame to go around. Not enough talent to start with, but this felt like a game where we were outcoached. Poor clock management, poor play calling or plays called at the wrong time or in the wrong spot and missed opportunities. This game feels/felt like the ultimate 'TIE'.
How about the fact that we still won't pass and use extra lineman to run the ball with Barkley despite being down 2 TDs against Dallas with like 7+ minutes left in the game?

So you spoke with the coaches and learned that their conservative nature in these situations is based on a lack of confidence in Jones, who basically was once again their best offensive weapon yesterday, or is this just you stating speculation as fact?
We ll find out fairly soon, because if you are right there is no way Giants sign Jones after the season
