Fully believe in the front office and coaching. Daboll hasn't been a HC before but he's miles ahead of Judge in that regard. He's going to make mistakes. I know they'll fix things and address what needs they have through the draft and development. It's these games that they pooped the bed in that have all of us thinking "what could have been". Only the most delusional among us think they were making noise in the post season. I don't think they get there. Not if they keep this garbage up. This season has flown by.
It will be interesting to see how Schoen can improve this roster.
Also, at this point in the season, 1) the staff has a better idea of what the players are good at and bad at, and 2) everybody's banged up, even if they are dressing for the games. The interior OL has been hit by injuries and has been straight-up bad. The major playmakers — Barkley, Jones, Bellinger, Slayton — have been hurt or sick. So yes, agree that lack of talent is a big thing, whether it's because the roster they inherited wasn't very good or because of injuries.
Most BBI were expecting 4-8 wins , most closer to the 4 than the 8.
The players are out talented except for about 8-10 of the 22.
We may have a new backfield after the draft, and 7-11 new player, at least 3 likely starters.
Given everything , stuck at 7Ws would suck, but 8 means an unexpected .500 season.
Just look forward.
Lots of big-time things going on that will determine the direction of the team for years. Exciting stuff!
My initial take is they are going to clean house of anyone who will not be on the next super bowl team, so that includes Barkley (unless he's cheap) and Jones.
Dabol is making a great chicken salad out of chicken shit. I can't wait till these guys clean house and use their 24' resource to start cooking some filet mignon.
JMHO
But I think they recognize that this is a long term job. They'll make moves to upgrade for next year but they realize that next year is not really the year. It was a deep, dark hole they walked into. Hopefully we will be getting to a real competitive level in 24 and 25.
Enjoy the next 5 weeks and maybe a 6th.
And then we can pick up the train wreck discussions.

My thoughts/guess on potential 2022-2023 off season based on what I've heard from Schoen and Daboll and how the Bills were built even though they were not the final decision makers.
QB - start over with a rookie & Taylor - Maybe get a comp pick?
RB - start over with a cheap rookie & cheap FAs/UDFAs - Maybe get a comp pick?
