but it makes sense since there is a good chance both teams will be 7-5-1 and the winner has the inside track for a Wild Card.
However, as I think about it, I think the way the tie went down, it might help the Giants going into the game. They know they should have beaten the Commanders, and should have beaten them by 10+ points at least. That is a game they could be going into with a chip on their shoulder to knock them off, regardless of whatever happens with Philly.
RE: yay looking forward to getting embarrassed on national tv once again
I was surprised by how good Ojulari looked yesterday and Thibs is progressing. We can build off yesterday as far as the pass rush is concerned and gonna cross my fingers one or both of McKinney/Jackson can get back for this one.
I am not going to say it... but it does smell a little odd. I called that with my son last night..
Also the game was moving so fast they almost didn't get all of their commercials in... thank god the 4th qtr slowed down and then a full OT to make that revenue up..
The only disadvantage, schedule-wise, is the short turnaround for the subsequent Saturday road game at Minnesota. Although we've all kind of been writing that one off, it could become huge if the Giants drop to 7-6-1. And I'm not sure it's a hopeless game, especially if Jackson and McKinney make it back. The Vikings have their own issues, and they may be pretty well locked into the #2 seed by Week 16.
RE: That's great news considering the Giants recent record
It’s meaningless
I just don’t buy the prime time record stuff
Each game is different
Two teams pretty evenly matched
If X and adoree playing, I still favor gmen

Great. Then, maybe they can start winning some of these primetime games again sometime this decade.
my son mentioned the 0-9 thing for Daniel ... just a gut thing, but I think this one breaks the string. Giants really should have beaten the Redskins yesterday. Just play a relatively smart game and while this one is close, too, I think they get us the W.
I'm getting what I asked for at the beginning of the season!
Yup, a lot of us are in that boat with you, although I set the bar at Thanksgiving. Last few weeks have been rough but it's been a great season so far. I don't care for Sunday night games but this is great for the organization. I hope the brass take a second to give Daboll (and staff) an attaboy, he's earned it.
Not because we typically stink up the joint either. I'll be wired from a victory or pissy from a loss. Won't be able to sleep in either case. Gonna be taking sleeping pills in the 4th quarter.

It's official: Giants-Commanders is now Sunday night.

Schedule other plans?

Tough couple years for DC-based Giants fans - last year was a Thursday nighter.
Beat me to the punch.

Giants play basically more than a day later on Sunday night and then have to travel to Minnesota Week 16.
Something like 24-20, 23-21.
This is really fun!
We would have all signed up for this. I don't want to hear any pussies whining!
At least its not home! I can ask my nurse to let me stay up to watch it.

Bad news is we can't win in primetime.....

Same here. I have a holiday party Saturday evening and would have missed it too
Just means he is due to win one
What's Daboll's record?
I’ll take that.
Cover McLaurin w/AJ & XMc and Love can roam.
Oohhh ... the drama.
Dude. Really? This negative?
Mark it. We are winning out. This team is so ready. No more ties. No more losses.
