Hard to criticize DJ or coaching for not beating the commies. They had a tough game in sight if Feliciao keeps his cool. But crucial plays
against Lions on 4th and 1 they put Jack Anderson in the backfield where he probably never played before
Yesterday on key third down play at the 45 or 50 they put Brieda and Barkley in motion and Breida ran into Jones.
At key points I would opt to keep it simple with things they do well like a short throw rpo option or run with Barkley or DJ.
- our receivers can't consistently beat their man and have trouble catching.
- The line isn't giving Barkley the push/holes they did earlier in the year and Barkley is missing a gear.
- Defenses are more aware of Jones running.
I think they need more misdirection and was disappointed that they didn't use Breida more in the backfield on reverses with Barkely as a decoy.

I don't know if cute is the best term, but obviously they did not practice that play enough for it to be used if the participants didn't know what to do.
haha - I don't know about that play for the Giants, but it sure worked there and that's a great college FB video.
And our guy completely screws up with the game on the line (again).
Unfortunately when you have marginal talent, they fail to execute even simple assignments.

Yes and no. If you know you have marginal talent and you are installing a "new" play, then you practice it several times during the week and make sure the correct sub package is on the field.
