Giants need to make changes. Gates to center and Phillips to right guard. Can we at least see this combination for a few reps. It's clear Glow is not going to get any better.
...and Glowinski was a decent, not great player for the Colts.
The idea was that he'd be a decent veteran that would hand off the job to one of the younger guys. The sad thing is that most of the younger guys got hurt.

I mean I think Anderson would be better at guard.
Its this simple.. this is a REBUILD.. maybe lightly ahead of schedule. this isnt a one year fix and certainly not a one game fix..
Feliciano been slightly better for 1 yr stopgap
we may need a center unless gates just is a better center than OG
cause injury or not, not the answer there
nope. he has been a huge letdown. last year was a particularly good year for IOL in FA in that price range and there are several having very good years for their new teams.
in terms of resources they spent like 12m on the IOL between all FAs plus they also spent 1 day 2 pick and 1 day 3 pick. Not writing anyone off but the performance of the IOL to date has been brutal.
crazy how big of a mistake it ended up being to cut Zeitler (he's allowed 2 sacks this year after allowing 1 last year).
For $10 M, he's a good player. Good players at important positions are not plentiful in FA. You can't just go to the guard store and buy $10 M of guard at a good value.

Eh. Guards maybe. Tackles no. But we are getting there with interior OL.
If we are rebuilding why not try Phillips at right guard
That was job one and it certainly appears to be an excellent hire.
After that Schoen doesn't have a whole lot of successes, and he's being evaluated just like everybody else.
Thank goodness for the opportunity to raid Buffalo's coaching staff and practice squad.
"After that Schoen doesn't have a whole lot of successes"
It's been a single off season in which he was a new hire and 13 games. Let's chill. We can get a better idea of Shoen by this time in 2024. The biggest decisions he made at coach is good and that coach turned around and got us Wink.

and Feliciano, break down after about a half, more or less.
When they start losing whatever their effective low point is, they need to be pulled. Not sure how good replacements might be, this year, but at least rest them a series or 2, let them maybe replenish, hopefully, but if not, then go with whatever coaches think work best.

Most? They all did. Davidson, Ezudu, Lemieux, Bredeson.
Glowinski is a better run blocker than pass protector. If our offense could stay balanced and have more passing plays on 1st down, maybe we stay out of 3rd and long situations and protect the weaknesses of our interior OL.
After 9 months. Incredible. Cmon gotta give him 5 years, Rome wasn’t built in a day darling.
im not turning on schoen but the fact that the OL is still playing this poor sucks. i loved his strategy of stockpiling depth and that has paid off - but their 2 targeted FA starters have been poor while other FAs who got paid similarly or less have been good.
Connor Williams, Ben Jones, and Bradley Bozeman are all top 10 centers on PFF. Not the end all be all but we all know feliciano and glowinski have not exactly passed the eye test and williams was a petty good player in dallas. Austin Corbett and James Daniels are 2 others who went to new teams in FA and having good years. Last year was a particularly deep year among IOL FA and next year's crop looks worse so we need to hope glowinski improves.

I agree. You can’t rush to judgement after 5 years. Any criticism of Schoen before the 9 year mark is hasty and should be ignored. After all, we don’t know how many “caretaker QBs” we’ll go through before he gets “his guy”.
The Giants will solve their interior OL problems. And maybe lightening will strike twice and they'll solve their ILB problems. But who knows what year that will be.
Nah, it's Jones' fault. He's bad at feeling the pressure in less that one second.

Holy Shit
Actually, you probably can

Is this sarcasm? Legit ?.

More like irrational exuberance. Too many fans got way too excited about the unexpected success of this team.
Welcome back to Earth.
That is why you do not resign Barkley.
You draft a player like Barkley after your qb, o line, and receiver positions are set. We are a long way from having those positions set.
DG put the cart before the horse.
Lots of people assume change means better, when all it means for sure is: change.
There were plenty of preseason posts declaring the 2022 OL to be the best it's been in ten years, or longer.

What’s wrong? I’m all ears.

Injuries have hurt this team
