Pick 1 was Mayfield
3 was Darnold
7 was Allen
10 was Rosen
32 was Jackson
1, 3 and 10 were busts. 7 and 32 made it big.
Historically, 3 out of 4 QBs drafted in first round turn out to be busts (and of course the odds only get worse in later rounds) and most experts don't know which ones will be busts and which one will be good (just look at the '18 draft). I remember when some experts thought Ryan Leaf would turn out better than Peyton (doh!).
This history is part of why I don't think it will be nearly as easy to upgrade from Jones as some people say. Upgrade the WR corps and IOL and we'll get an upgrade in Jones.

THIS ^^^^^. And then you probably have to stick with him 2-3 years to see if he's a bust.

I don't think Jones would need another 2-3 seasons to determine that. I would be happy if he got ONE season with a decent OL and WR corps. I'd love if he could just get the rest of this season, but unfortunately that's not going to happen.
Those who hate that DJ is our QB and love a guy like Josh Allen will never acknowledge the significant leap that Allen and the Bills took after they traded for Diggs.
Be hurt more than reported and they will be interviewing Mayfield for next season.
Spinal contusion. I'd say there's a good chance he is done for good. It's the kind of injury where you'd be on the brink of paralysis at any given moment.
Oh, I didn't think of that.

And I would not have been surprised if either ARI or SEA did the same thing just to keep him away from the 49ers.

Kingsbury was probably thinking of starting him.
Savvy move with little downside at all.

I loved that show he had with his son.

The better chance to F with SF is to let them sign Baker. He stinks.
By some accounts Stafford was sucking ass even at the end of last year.
