All most all the players they moved in and out of PS Since 9/1 were told to stay local, keep training and in shape because we might need you back.
Work on the following: …………..
Definitely not this year. He has the physical talent to be a good OT in the NFL and he looked better than expected in the preseason games. It will be interesting to see how he performs in training camp next year. He will look significantly more improved after a normal offseason with the team.
on the practice squad probably helps him more than any other player they've got. He can probably double the number of snaps he's taken in his life between now and the end of the season.
Are sort of keeping him on standby even when he isn't on the PS and working out with the team. That is, on some level (officially or not), he's still with the Giants. The team's interest in him remains, and for now, seems reciprocal.
99% sure the answer is yes. We know his contract includes offset language that counts weekly practice squad pay against his guaranteed salary. There is no reason to think that the offset ceases to apply just because his tenure on the practice squad has been non-continuous.
Mbaeteka has to learn everything from scratch anyway. Might as well give him a chance at the position for which his frame and athleticism suits him best. That would seem to be tackle. How many 6'9" guards have there been? (Admittedly, not a lot of 6'9" tackles either.)
They were always going to bring him back. They clearly have an arrangement with him. He will likely be released once or twice more when the Giants need PS spots for possible elevations. MBaeteka will be signed to the active roster as soon as the season ends.
and he has got decent athleticsm but I'm not sure how much development that he can get by being on the practice squad occasionally. It seems like you would be best to invest a full year on the practice squad with him and they are big enough where you should be able to do so.

If it's one thing a lot of Giants fans love, it's a 5+ year tryout.

I said the same thing about Fromm over Glennon, and I wasn't wrong.
Probably something analogous to "an internship."

Team is always full of surprises.

It's April Fools Day already? lol
That is my thought too. Asking him to play OT seems like a high bar to clear. Guard would probably be more realistic.

They were always going to bring him back. His contract had a salary guarantee the same amount as a 18 week PS salary.
Probably not, but it would be interesting...
So you're saying they had no choice?

I wonder if his skills will ever be NFL ready
