The Giants have a long history of populating other teams with their better assistant coaches. From Landry to Lombardi to Spags......that's enough for a while.
what a distraction for Kafka. They should tell them no interviews until the end of the season.
Teams can’t deny a request for a promotion opportunity.
They also can’t dictate when interviews can happen.
Nor do the Giants want to deny it. Losing good young coaches hurts, but blocking their chances of career advancement is a quick way to make sure other good young coaches are reluctant to come here
Have good coordinators other teams want to hire then be stuck with coordinators who are terrible like Jason Garrett. Winning is a double edge sword, but it’s better than the alternative.
Exactly. I'd rather be fretting over losing Kafka than fretting over keeping Judge.
Plus, if you're a manager you always want your guys to succeed and move up. It's part of life. Daboll and Schoen will have to deal with it.
Pat Shurmer comes to mind. Good offensive designer, lousy locker room motivator. I think Kafka needs more time in the saddle. What if the playoffs are a disaster do they still want him? Isn't this called tampering I thought we were not supposed to allow coaches to be spoken to until the playoffs are over
Belichik and Payton come to mind.
Really? McVay got hired at 30 and clearly showed he had the judgment and connections to hire a quality staff.
