Comes out of a playoff game and then within hours it is reported he can play the next week.
Dan Duggan just tweeted “Azeez Ojulari says his thigh is very painful. He’s planning on playing but his effectiveness will be determined by his pain tolerance”
Look, I’m not doubting his thigh hurts like a mother. Deep bruises suck….but its a divisional playoff game? You seriously can’t play through that? They seriously can’t do anything to numb the area (i’m not even talking painkillers).
Is anyone else annoyed by this? Lane Johnson is playing with a torn adductor. I’ll say it, seems a bit soft.

His soul. Only then will GiantGrit be satisfied.
It's a good sign he's playing, and hopefully he is healthy enough to make a meaningful positive impact on the field.
I’d like him to play the whole game with a thigh contusion. He’s left multiple games this year including last week. If we were discussing a concussion, sprained knee etc. I would completely understand. We absolutely need his pass rushing. He has a thigh contusion. Its really a hot take to be frustrated he wouldn’t play through that?
+1

Realistically it won’t recover. Deep contusions definitely linger, I just figured they would have an effective way to mitigate his pain. Maybe they do. We really need him to play.

Sounds like he will try to play through it. Not sure what this thread achieves though, you’ll find out on Saturday.
It’s also fair to pony out that a lot of guys (everyone) is plying through pain this time of year.
What is unfair is assume you know how much loan how is in (though, if I’m being totally honest, a thigh contusion doesn’t sound like something that keeps someone out of playoff game- but I’m also just a poster on an internet site)
It s astonishing to me when people question these guys. I ve been around pro athletes, you have no idea how tough they are.
Hey gersh, have you ever heard of turf toe? Doesn't sound so painful that you couldn't "just play through it, it's the playoffs" It's one of the most excruciating injuries from a pain perspective I have personally had to go through to play. And also, who is Dan Duggan to speak of someone's tolerance to pain when it comes to playing pro sports? He mentions NOTHING on his LinkedIn profile that he's ever tried it. I honestly do not put a whole lot of thought behind what a reporter says. And if someone on the Giants said that to him, who was it? Was it a teammate or coach or a member of the training staff? Now, that's a story. But I'd bet his salary that no one even insinuated that to him. It's his opinion and that's it.
You wanna know how F-ing painful this game is? Read Tim Green's "The dark side of the game" when he talks about how much pain it is for a player, especially a lineman, to even do something like you and I may do several times a day like shake someone's hand to say hello? Those guys go through hell on every play in pre-season, camp and the regular season including playoffs if you're lucky. 3 years in college, going up against some kid looking to make it to scout team. But then some schmuck like Dan Duggan writes, without backing it up, that Azeez' effectiveness will be up to his pain tolerance. According to who, Dan? Name names. Then I'll have respect for you.
So gersh, IMO, Yes. Grit's post IS unreasonable. Shit like that, if it were true, would be handled in the locker room. I suggest Dan go up to him after practice and ask him what his pain tolerance is to play in an NFL post season game. What, 54 out of 100? what about 66? Hmmm... maybe 81?
Make sure all of your Madden rankings are up to date before you make your next post.
I can give several other anecdotes (and usually I'm the one complaining about pain being more than it should like a baby). Unless I have reason to believe otherwise, I'm not judging another human on the pain they're experiencing. There are many more worthwhile things to care about. He's costing himself money, hard to think he's just simply not tough enough, or whatever.

LT played 10 days after getting a broken ankle and played through a torn pec against the Saints and had 3 sacks...Don't remember him missing a game for a quad bruise..could have, but I do not remember it.
Remember that cocaine is an excellent local anesthetic!
I appreciate the advice but I don’t play video games
Have a good day

me neither.
I would like to know when this was. The only length of time I recall LT missing multiple games was when he tore his achilles.
I agree with the points that 1) we have no idea what Azeez is going through and 2) it's silly for any of us to sit on our couch and question a guys toughness.
That said, we're used to seeing players fight to get back on the field but get restrained buy trainers/coaches. That doesn't seem to be the case here. There's also mounting frustration as he never seems to stay on the field. When is it just bad luck vs a trend? Can you rely on him to be a starter next year? Does he fit smart/tough/dependable?

Looking like smart, tough .... dependable is in question
Different times, that stuff doesn't fly anymore.
