Everyone remembers the 80 yard run-and-trip against the Eagles. So I was curious heading into tomorrows match up how Jones fared against the filthadelphia Eagles.
Record:
2-3
Passing:
1,103 yards
5 TDS
2 Interceptions
65% completion percentage
Rushing:
29 Rushs
238 yards
2 Tds
8.2 Yards per carry
Rush Daniel. Win Daniel.
Oof. I forgot about that Engram dropped pass. That ultimately came back at the end of the season and bit us in the ass during our 6-10 playoff run.
Turns out, that dropped pass might have been a blessing in disguise. I'm not sure Daboll would be here if Judge made the playoffs at 6-10 in his first season.
I think the same will hold true Saturday.
I too would like them take a few shots if the box is too stacked early.
Exactly. Apples and oranges as to DJ then and DJ now
Last week there was a lot of talk of Daniel Jones's non scripted runs- ie runs from being rushed. I would like to see Jones set up as if to pass, with routes designed specifically to pull defenders from one side of the field and take off with a blocker coming with him as a "designed" run without the obvious run design.
Do enough things off schedule and you will cross up the eagles defense. I would like to see some of these designed pull runs (for Jones) actually be pull and reset pocket and throw.. That will also make teh eagles think twice of coming free after Jones or over playing the run.
The biggest factor here, is do a lot of runs with Barkley that last week were designed for Jones. Again, cross up the Eagles.
This weeks surprise player or player who will have a bigger role and impact is Richie James. The Giants can use him crossing and quick ins like the Bills used Beasley a lot for ..
I would try to isolate Slayton on Bradberry.
