This first round is going to be a heavy on edge rushers. Ojulari has a quick first step and active hands as a pass rusher. The Broncos traded Bradley Chubb to Miami during the fall (acquiring this pick in the deal) and the LSU product would be a solid replacement.
will be cool to see how his career goes.
addison, bresee, smith-njigba all on the board would be amazing
I noticed DW back in September when the Illini played Indiana. It felt like DW was everywhere - knocking down passes, playing the run, crushing receivers, etc. So, I was all in.
Good to see DJ riding the wave... ;)
Meanwhile, he has Van Ness #8. Didn't see that coming.
And the real kicker: no Quentin Johnson in the first round.
BTW, I am getting very interested - if healthy - in Nolan Smith.
they all have some flaws so i can see why they aren't top 10 picks but they are all top 10 talents. a little surprised only 2 first round wrs.
Agreed. DJ also has 6 CBs taken in the top 24. Wow. Addison is his first WR selected at NYGs pick over the likes of Njigba and Johnson. Route running is one of the top traits to look for in a WR and he might be the best one.
...the integrity of the game. Tampering with players and coaches, plus the Flores mess and other scandals, piled up too much stinky garbage for even the NFL to ignore.
But he has the chance to be really good. I wonder if Hyatt or Tillman would be worth a shot, or if it’s too soon. The Giants can’t draft another slot WR, if they go WR, they need a guy who will be an outside guy. Would be terrified if they took Jaxon Smith-Njigba as he can’t stay on the field. Friend of mine told me that Schoen has said in the past he won’t take “injured players in college” which is why he passed on Pickens, not sure if true but he was the perfect guy to get. Injuries happen and just because you’ve been injured in the past, doesn’t mean you 100% will become injury prone. Smith-Njigba though seems like he’s more likely to be very injury prone.
IMV Hyatt and Tillman will get lower grades from NFL scouts
As they are not good route runners
It’s a deep WR class but the top of the class not as good as previous years
The CB class looks loaded with first round talent
will be cool to see how his career goes.

PFF has Witherspoon as their top corner. I was hoping for him and had him in my mocks until we dropped to 25 and he was always gone.

PFF sim has him available at the end of 2 beginning of 3.
I enjoy the sims but they're terribly unrealistic.
Nice player, but not a top of the draft kind of guy from what I've seen so far...which isn't a lot.

Great route runner and has the hands
Has the ability to makes guys miss and good balance.
Full disclosure I am a Pitt fan, but Pitt produces great value NFL players
Why 31? Did someone lose a pick?

At 25. And we're picking 31!

The Dolphins...

They have an incredible, under-the-radar school for sure. Like:
Marino, Dorsett, Curtis Martin, Shady, Donald, Revis, LFitz, Stepnoski...
I'm probably forgetting more, but that's a lot of current and future HoFamers.
