Absolutely!!!! We trust Joe and Dabs to bring in some more talent to this roster this off season. We expect the pundits to put us 3rd in division again next season but WE know that won’t be the case. Asses kicked and names taken next season.
Down. We have started slowly defensively almost weekly.
Some things to watch-
1.Hurts is NOT going to push runs much.
2. Lane Johnson is going to struggle and we need to attack him a lot.
3.The offense has to respond..
So as long as you don’t touch him you are allowed to screen a defender. That is like saying you didn’t steal from a bank because you transferred the money through a cyber source as opposed to going in to the bank with a gun
Because he didn't touch him. He just slowed him down and messed up his coverage by looking like he was going to. The stupid thing is, if it wasn't intentional and he was actually running a route, he would have run right into the defender and had the flag against him.

like that in a game like this. That is one of the worst picks I’ve seen a Giant QB throw in playoffs in my life. Right up there with one Collins threw against Ravens. Just a total gut punch.

This is complete crap. They have been doing this for weeks. They use Barkley as a decoy more often early on, which opens up other players. As the defense plays it more straight up, and stops only keying on Barkley, they start giving the ball to him

They have been outclassed and butchered from the get go.

The Eagles have 2 WRs who had at least 1200 yds. They have a good TE. And probably the best DL in the NFL. Hurts had a better year than Jones. Their OL is elite too. People are severely underestimating the talent gap. They think because Jones had 2 good games against the 31st ranked D he would do something close to thet against Philly. I hope SF beats this team down. This really is their best possible year to win.

None of our WRs, Thomas, Barkley, maybe a few guys on defense. Thats it.

That regardless I am sold on where we are going and that Jones is our QB. I am not sold on big $$$ for Barkley just because of RB histories and the need for big-time play makers at WR and CB. If we can keep him somewhat cheaply then sure.

It’s pretty obvious they weren’t running their full package that game, just enough to win. Playoffs is another level of intensity.

Defense look like they are not interested, shitty arm tackling, they look utterly and completely lost out there.
Offense are just falling over their own feet, 21 down and the D are now coming after Jones on every play.

Very good season. Hopefully the lesson learned is, Boston Scott is a sixth round pick and barkley is the 2nd overall. Therefore, you never touch a running back with a 1st round pick or sign one to a second contract. Looks like you may have the best qb in the nfc, a legit coach, keep building the oline and get two top wrs. Looking forward to next year.

Not even giving ourselves a chance. It started with the bad decision to go for it on the 4th down so the blame can go around from the coaches to the players. This is an embarrassment. At least we won 1 playoff game and gained some playoff experience.

Personally, I’d rather trade Barkley and maybe get a 2nd round pick rather than give him a huge contract. We need to improve our line play and LBs to have a chance to compete. You can find a solid RB on day 3.
Schoen better build this roster to beat the Eagles. Every friggin year they get demolished by this team. How are they expected to win a championship when they can’t even beat a division rival. It does not matter how many picks we used for certain positions. If we are not strong enough on the line of scrimmage, then we have to keep piling more sandbags there.

Sure, we played a competitive game last time. When the talent disparity is this high, coupled with playoffs preparation, blowouts happen. I'm not sure how this is arguable. It happens ever week in the NFL.
The Eagles have been wire to wire excellent on both sides of the ball for almost the entire season. Playing the best OL and DL in the league is no recipe for Giants success. They looked bad in two out of three games against them because they're that good.

The only pass that traveled was the first one to Smith. They are just killing us between the tackles. Those screens and two yard routes off the LOS are killing us

Just really think about this and this is just one example of why this team is failing against Dallas & Eagles. Giants could have had Hassan Reddick & Micah Parsons and they choose to pass on both! Look what they have done for their both teams?! Look how dominant they both are! Do you think they would have helped the Giants pass rush? Of course. Passing on both put this team behind for years, and is only example why both of those teams are dominating the Giants every year. Period.

Maybe i’m oversimplifying it but the Giants will beat thr Eagles when they can run the ball down their throat and they can stop the run.
For the last 10 years they’ve played more physical than us and consistently beat us at the LOS. Stupidly so i would love us to run it 35 times and just beat the shit out of them

Reddick didn't surpass 4 sacks until his 4th year. We have geniuses on this board declaring Neal to be a bust after one year. Same people who probably shit on Andrew Thomas.

we also figured out who the keepers are moving forward. Its been a really good year, and a big building block.
I think this game will provide a big push for next year, now that the players have gotten here they will want to get back and not be dominated. Add a good draft, a few FA's, and use this game as motivation. I think we will continue to improve and be a real contender next season

I've never been to a Philly game but I have been to Giants/Skins game after a loss at Landover and it was a war zone after the game. I'm sure Philly is 3 times worse.
But lots of missed tackles and lots of blown blocking assignments. There’s no way to get anything going on offense the way things are going.

They’ve gotten the ball run down their throats all season long with McFadden out there and he hasn’t done a thing. What they saw with Davis is the play he made when Hurts tried to run around him. Couldn’t get there. Davis was too fast. But they’re both JAGs.

Honestly, and I love Saquon, but if we're going to go into a game like this, with our trash ass WR core, and play dink and dunk down the field instead of running with our all-pro RB, then why even keep him?

I was against it, but on further reflection it might have been the right move, our punter can’t do anything in terms of pinning and maybe 55 yards wasn’t possible tonight given the field conditions. I don’t know if true, but those reasons could explain it.

That is what you really need to look for in a player. Not everyone can be a superstar. So, if you can fill your roster with solid guys like that who dont cost a lot, then you can really win some games.

When the offense you figure is run heavy, that's the mindset right there.

They really are a dirty team. I thought Barkley was hit way late out of bounds in the first quarter, no call. A couple of late hits on the pile well after the whistle. No call. Barkley even got up after one of them looking for the flag. After the nice kickoff return by Brightwell in the 2md quarter, one of the guys who made the tackle got up by driving his knee into Brightwell's chest and neck while pushing him down. No call.

Than PTSD for all true giants fans…..this game is a bitter taste that only goes away…….with a Lombardi. This type of blowout never happened to coach Parcells, but he did have the great LT.

The eagle's depth is quality as well especially on the d line. Giants had a great year but they walked into a buzzsaw against Philly. Go home lick your wounds and continue adding talent

From coaching to all the players. No one made a play. The Wrs really showed their deficiencies when facing good players. The DL was awful. The OL was awful. Jones was bad and under constant duress with no one open. Jihad ward was bad

The Eagles have 2 WRs who had at least 1200 yds. They have a good TE. And probably the best DL in the NFL. Hurts had a better year than Jones. Their OL is elite too. People are severely underestimating the talent gap. They think because Jones had 2 good games against the 31st ranked D he would do something close to thet against Philly. I hope SF beats this team down. This really is their best possible year to win.

The Eagles have been wire to wire excellent on both sides of the ball for almost the entire season. Playing the best OL and DL in the league is no recipe for Giants success. They looked bad in two out of three games against them because they're that good.

Yeah, I mean heading into the offseason I think our bigger needs than secondary is middle backers and DL depth.
Sure if a VG corner is there you take them, but we are really soft in the areas I mentioned.
I think this game will provide a big push for next year, now that the players have gotten here they will want to get back and not be dominated. Add a good draft, a few FA's, and use this game as motivation. I think we will continue to improve and be a real contender next season

Offensively we have ZERO threats at WR (true threats), TE we have a rookie and not much else and our Oline still needs a Guard , Center and our RT to get a lot better..

Disagree. Outside Barkley (not by much ) and maybe Andrew Thomas, the Eagles have better players at every single position on the field. Better O-Line, D-Line, WR, TE, secondary, QB. The talent discrepancy is vast.
All season long. Avg yards per carry was abysmal.
Tonight was just a cherry on the shit pile.

All they do is double team Dex, handle Leo, and thats it. Our ILB's are retreads cut from other teams, and our OLB/DE are young talented guys who are a lot better at pass rushing than stopping the run (right now). Next year Thibs/Ojulari will have another year under their belt and we can hopefully get a real ILB or two.

Got nothing from the DTs as they were hsoved out of the way. The ILB have been bad all year. And suprisingly the Safeties and Corners have been bad in run support tonight too.
