It was still a fun ride and an encouraging season despite this painful ending. I didn’t think this team would win more than five games. Now it’s up to Joe Schoen to build up the roster. Continue to improve the OL, get a playmaking receiver or two, and for the love of God get competent linebackers.
This was a pleasantly surprising season for the new regime but now it’s time to get to work on the heavy lifting.
We need to make another big leap forward next year
Greg acknowledging that a Dukie is our franchise QB :P
I think getting the ever loving shit kicked out of them by their bitterest rival qualifies

He sure looked the part tonight, didn’t he?
He’s better than I thought he was but the hot air over the past week about how he was a top 5 QB and a budding superstar was absolutely laughable.
Barkley had a good season but I am a firm believer in building a running game primarily behind a strong OL. Look at the Eagles - none of their backs are anything special. You can find effective running backs relatively cheap if they have decent blocks to follow.
Much of that cap space will vaporize if you resign Barkley and Jones.
Indeed. This off-season offers enormous opportunity to truly turn the tide for the team….IF Schoen gets it right, and hopefully has a little luck as well.
But that's true of the entire team.
Not sure what to make of tonight's performance, but it is hard to understand how the entire team came out so unprepared.
I think that's the first time we've seen this all year?
Either way, tonight sucked! But I won't let it ruin the fun ride this season has been.
On O, I am optimistic about the future of the OL. I think Neal will improve and show why he was drafted high. He has the talent and showed it at times. If he takes that step, they are set at OT and Gates should move back to OC. They have a number of guys who should compete for one or both OG positions in Ezeudu, Bredeson, McKeethan, Feliciano. Lemieux might be nice for depth, but I wouldn't count on him to start. They need to draft at least one interior OL in the first 3 rounds and likely add one via FA.
On D, they need a lot more depth at DL and possibly think about a more traditional 3-4 or 4-3. Either way, we need huge improvements at ILB.

Sorry but I disagree. This team was overmatched and not in the same league as the Eagles. In no way does that diminished the accomplishments of this season. If you thought the Giants could go toe to toe with the Eagles then I don't know what to tell you

Best QB in the NFC, remember that?
Strong possibility that we win just 6 to 8 games next season rather than reach double digits wins.
Nothing changed with the team.
The game last night looked very similar to what we saw in week 14.
Players learn and coaches learn. PLenty of tape for everyone to look at for improvements. I did not think what little I watched was a well coached game.
A game like this exposes all the areas of weakness that may have been glossed over after the Minny win and re-enforces what SChoen and Daboll knew.
It was an unexpectedly good year. How many predicted a trip to the final 8? I think most of us were in the 6 win at best category.

It wasn't laughable, it was overreaction. Just like the dweebs that will re-emerge to denigrate him.
He is in the 8-12 range.
Last night's coaching job was as bad as the Detroit game.
