Giants need another DE

Adding it to list. As of this AM, we need 178 positions improved per BBI.

the lack of talent at ILB. They got nothing. Maybe McFadden is a potential decent depth/ST guy. But they have to completely rebuild that position. It's the worst spot on the team.

DE and MLB are their two biggest needs on D.

Obviously a CB would be nice too but they have guys at CB who are passable (Robinson etc ). Their third DL and ILB are among the worst in the league. Mostly castoffs from other teams.

1- Ide let Love and saquon walk. Love is a good player but i think we will be ok with pinnock and belton and save the 8 mil. saquon is still a good player but 12 mil is too much. hes not the player he once was

2-re sign Jones for 35 mil/year for 3 years

3-break the bank for daron payne. he will prob be 25 mil a year but hes worth it.

4-draft a middle linebacker and WR rounds 1 and 2. (i dont think corner is a major need if we can re sign moreau. A-rob will be back and flott is a starter in the making with holmes in the slot. i try to extend adoree.

5-round 3 is the sweet spot for our RB (evans, charbonnet, bigsby) and a 2nd TE (laporta, kraft)

6-round 4-7 we have a lot of picks. get depth at WR, CB, DL, edge, safety)

Which makes the decision to release Martinez even worse. Yeah he retired but dude was a tackling machine.

You need 4 DEs, veteran pash rush specialists, ect.

You can never have enough pass rushers. We won superbowls with having several pashrushers

They need a real 3-4 end. Ward gives a lot of effort but he’s not the answer. Thibodeaux and Ojulari and not down linemen in a 3-4.

their depth was badly exposed by Philly and we saw what a deep OL can do to an offense on the other side of the game. They are like 8 deep on their DL.

Lots of good ideas. Still think OL has to be a priority.

That was a Blake Martinez thing, not a Giants thing. Guy retired mid-season after selling a Pokémon card.

More like tack on the list of pieces the Giants will need/should have.

It will be interesting to see if this staff considers it a premium position worthy of a premium pick. I think it’s more likely they draft DE, DT and CB in the first few rounds. Even moreso than a WR. They’ll draft a WR (or two) but my gut tells me it may not be on day one or maybe even day two.

Good a season we had. Only asskicking was against the Eagles twice.

You aren't paying attention.

They run a 2 man DL where they are essentially both inside. They don't have a true DE or a scheme for one. It's not a 3-4 or a 4-3.

You don't stop the run with ILBs. You stop it up front first. The Giants have 2 studs at DT who get worn down playing most snaps. As a compensation, they have been going with big, lumbering ILBs. That didn't work too well.

But, how is Saquon not the player he once was? He had his best season running the ball this year.

Well, is running the two-man line a good idea? It might wind up wearing Lawrence and Williams down.

I never could tell if we were running the two-man line because Wink thinks it's optimal as a defense or because we had no choice.

This is absolutely correct. We need a 5 tech really bad.

really hurt the defense. He was playing a lot before the was lost for the season. They two guys similar to him.
