Joe Schoen's time to deliver!
Lots of major decisions! Daniel et Saquon, Love, Feliciano, Gates (and lesser ones: Slayton, Shephard, James)
cap room is good before signing anyone but it will shrink rapidly
Great draft capital
Maybe we'll see FA interests across the league after the Eagles win the SB and Kelce, Cox retired... and we can take the East once and for all!
I hate the Eagles, but them winning will help us... everybody will want to destroy them next year and I think some old will retire!
Not exactly. They have a lot of contract stuff coming up and Hurts will need a new deal and I wouldn't be sold on him just yet either. Yesterday was more about what we lacked than just how stacked they are.
They have AJ Brown (1st rd proven NFL talent), Davonta Smith (1st rd , proven talent), Dallas Goedert (2nd RD proven NFL talent) at the skill positions for their QB to throw to.
We had (yesterday)- Rookie Daniel Bellinger, Richie James (a former 7th rd pick and cast off of the 49ers who didn't play in 2021), Isaiah Hodgins (UDFA, picked up off waivers from Buffalo where he had a grand total of 4 receptions in his career)..
Just those three skill player comparisons alone tell you all you need to know. We could do the same on the Oline where they have talent, pro-bowls and cohesion together and we have some talent (Thomas), some rookie hopeful talent (Neal- but who is truggling), Stop-gap LG (returning from a devastating injury), stop-gap Center, Lower end FA signee RG (who didn't not play well this year)...
The talent is so decidedly in their favor it is really hard to fathom.
McAdoo was 11 - 5 his first year (better than Daboll) and how did that work out?
Fans just really want to fall in love with the coach, happened with McAdoo, Judge and now Daboll. I do also admit beyond the record, things seem different with Daboll, but I need to see next year for some seasonal improvement before I say Daboll passed a test. for me, you can jump in with both feet if you want.
Its only year 1 of him. Tough to say good or bad.

You think year 1 was tough to say if it was good considering the circumstances and expectations before the season?

The Eagles aren't going anywhere with their slew of picks, including #10 and another 1st rounder. We need to ensure we can have a similar or slightly better season next year. We need to win more than one divisional game. That wil, in large part, be determined by they makeup of our roster.

Daboll passed a test, at least not for me, not yet. I liked a lot of what I saw, but in now way is the exam over.

Can't even compare the two. Remember the money that was spent that year. Daboll had garbage to work with.
