much rather see SF go into LFF in Philly than Dallas. SF can beat Philly in my opinion, but I don't think Dallas can.
Even if Dallas could beat Philly (which I think they can) why would you want them to? SF needs to eliminate Dallas first, Philly second. In no way do I want Dallas fans celebrating a win tonight.

A little brouhaha between the Cowboys and Niners as Brett Maher goes through his normal pregame work. A number of SF players would not move and led to some talking back and forth with ST coordinator John Fassel, injured LS Jake McQuade and P Bryan Anger. Got testy.
I suppose if he can stand up to the Dallas D, there's reason to think he can do the same vs. Philly. I think Philly's D is a bit better, but they're close enough that it would be reason for confidence.
I do think either SF or Dallas D could put the kind of pressure on Hurts that is needed to slow that offense down.
Back in the mid 90s, you would write this in ink for
Well, the NFL has a gigantic contract with the networks. To put it into some perspective, to eliminate the commercials and BS, you would need to charge 100 million fans $60 per year to offset the contract value.
Anybody notice they've been playing deep Led Zeppelin and Floyd cuts
OL dominate like they did against us. That will completely change the game. The Eagles and Hurst won't look so good when he's under a rush and they can't run
On these teams on defense. Talk about lines all you want. These defenses have speed at all levels of the defense. Attack the ball and take good angles to ball carriers in run game.
Dallas will be going for 2 for the rest of this game is my guess

True karma is you take your Cowboy-loving arse back to a board of a team you actually root for rather than spending your time on a Giants board talking about how great the Cowboys are.
Could have a tough time figuring out who to root for here. One team we are 2-0 in NFC championship games against. The other team is the fucking Dallas Cowboys.

But regarding #2, that means you would also be ok envisioning the Cowboys in the super bowl? I would at least like to still have the hope that an NFCE rival will not be in the super bowl. The Cowboys possibly winning a super bowl scares the shit out of me, even moreso than another Eagles super bowl win believe or not
The other thing I’d say is I’m not so sure the Cowboys have a better shot at beating the Eagles, especially without Pollard. The niners are absolutely stacked and they have a brand of winning that can travel anywhere and beat anyone. It seems like a lot of people on this board are underestimating them. They absolutely have a case had a case for being the best team in the NFC the latter half of the season.
Plus I actually like Purdy’s game, it’s honestly perfect for this niners team. Just play point guard and don’t turn the ball over. Easier said than done (as mr. 40M+ /yr Dak is proving today).

What game were you watching? Dude made big throw after big throw. He missed some early. But he was a beast on 3rd down and over the middle
If you take the name off the back of the jersey and replace it “Brady” everyone would be saying “we’ll be did what he needed to do to beat a great defense.” In the biggest game of his life he didn’t try to force ANYTHING. To not turn the ball over and be good on 3rd down in the biggest game of your life speaks to what this guy is made of. Dak meanwhile in one of the biggest games of his life was outplayed by ROOKIE MR. IRRELEVANT. Do not sleep on Brock. Period.
They need a good shovel or he just might be spending the rest of his life buried somewhere in the turf of Levi's stadium
The first time they lined up like that I said out loud "Who is going to block the free rushers?". Then SF took a time out and I figured there's not way Dallas lines up in the same formation but sure enough there it is again so I said "How is Zeke Elliot going to block 3 free rushers who have a running start?". Sure enough, he didn't and the play was blown up almost immediately. I don't even understand why you have that many receivers when you have about 0.5 seconds to get the ball out. Ball is very high and almost uncatchable. WR gets lit up immediately.
It was a thing of beauty. I laughed. I cried. I cheered.
RE: Don't think Zeke is a big fan of them ever running that play again
They need a good shovel or he just might be spending the rest of his life buried somewhere in the turf of Levi's stadium
perfect ending for him and cowpukes.

They scored 1 TD, which was gifted to them by Cowboys stupidity. His longest completion of the game involved an amazing catch by Kittle. He was decent at best. They’re not making a statue next to Montana’s over this performance.
Is, how is SF in the title game since they didn't draft their QB in the first ten spots in the first round?
I thought you had to do that to be a winner????
Neither the Eagles nor the 49ers have a QB on a cap crippling contract. That is why they are the most complete teams in the NFC. The Giants no longer have that luxury with Jones.
But just remember that the Eagles will have to pay big time for Hurts and their overall team will take a big hit when that happens.

All Brock Purdy needed to do today was outplay Dak Prescott. Mission accomplished for him. I'm happy for the guy and happy at the misery in Dallas. Rooting for him and the 49ers next week.

It helps that they've drafted well and haven't signed guys like Nate Solder (who we had a dead cap on this year) and Golladay (who we'll have a dead cap on next year). Also helps they didn't draft guys like Toney, Baker and Flowers.

Cowboys can play D too
Philly definitely a favorite but niners D can slow them down, they should get heat on hurts and have enough weapons and oline to give Philly issues on Offense
Cowboys D actually faster than eagles. I think Philly a better match for niners offense
up until these past few weeks I had high hoes SF could knock off Philly. My hop was Philly had lost their mojo and were banged up in key spots. However SF's vaunted D gave up plenty to LV and Seattle 2 pedestrian teams and their offense was not impressive yesterday. Couple that with Philly looking back in early season form Saturday night and it doesn't look good for next Sunday.

Three good receivers, two good backs, and a solid OL with excellent play calling?
Purdy is the big question mark but he's played pretty well.
I think he could unless Philly disguises defenses and totally take advantage.
Players will be open.
Plus on the flip side, Philly will be forced offensively to do things they aren't used to.
LOL
You're going to need a bigger desk
Yep, i won't ever trust Dallas in a big spot, and McCarthy doesn't help that.
But Dallas and San Fran have just the team makeup that can give Philly fits.
I do think either SF or Dallas D could put the kind of pressure on Hurts that is needed to slow that offense down.

I don't think so. Neither one of the defenses are going to let the Eagles OL sodomize them like they did us. Hurts will look very pedestrian next week

I laughed. I cried. I cheered.
perfect ending for him and cowpukes.
Him and his stupid jester of spooning shit into his mouth when he gets a 1st down. TG I didn't see him do that in this game.

Underestimating this niners team against the Eagles? Seriously
They played a VERY physical game with a day less of rest and have to travel across the country. Purdy looked pedestrian. I don’t see how you can love their chances.
Purdy looked pedestrian??

They scored 1 TD, which was gifted to them by Cowboys stupidity. His longest completion of the game involved an amazing catch by Kittle. He was decent at best. They’re not making a statue next to Montana’s over this performance.

How are you still underestimating the Eagles?
Yeah, I'm legit worried they are going to smoke the 49ers next week.
The 49ers are way better than the Giants

All Brock Purdy needed to do today was outplay Dak Prescott. Mission accomplished for him. I'm happy for the guy and happy at the misery in Dallas. Rooting for him and the 49ers next week.

Is, how is SF in the title game since they didn't draft their QB in the first ten spots in the first round?

It helps that they've drafted well and haven't signed guys like Nate Solder (who we had a dead cap on this year) and Golladay (who we'll have a dead cap on next year). Also helps they didn't draft guys like Toney, Baker and Flowers.

Eric,
I’m not underestimating them. They may very well win the game. But go back through this thread and read all the people basically saying “no chance in hell this SF team beats Philly.” That’s what I’m responding to. Dallas barely beat Philly with Gardner freaking Minschew at QB.
Philly beat the shit out of us coming off a bye. They are a great team. But IMO if there’s one team in the NFC with the talent and coaching to beat Philly, it is SF, not Dallas.
The 4 best teams in the league are in the title games
Hey Eric!
I’d like to hear your response to this

“Gonna wax the niners”
Greg, I respect as a top 1% poster, but here sir, you are wrong. The niners are not losing by more than 1 score, and IMO? 60/40 chance they win. LFG.
Very close matchup.
But on the other hand, the Cowboys have been “the number 1 offense since Dak returned.” Yet they put up 12 points?
Cowboys can play D too
Philly definitely a favorite but niners D can slow them down, they should get heat on hurts and have enough weapons and oline to give Philly issues on Offense
Cowboys D actually faster than eagles. I think Philly a better match for niners offense
