We have a number of turf- farms near Albany.
The cost of growing grass and maintaining the field
would seem to be worth the human and financial loss
of injuries to players on the Giants and Jets
In 2025 they'll switch to grass. Just in time for the World Cup.
But I don't buy the argument that they can't sustain grass. Maintaining it is just more expensive than they want.
That's exactly it. Turf is cheaper and doesn't require constant maintenance.
But if they can sustain excellent grass in Philly with the Eagles and Temple football playing there plus the Army/Navy game, they could certainly have grass at MetLife.
If you’re going to have to do it in two years anyway?

Right now, we can’t sustain grass, so we’re going to get the best turf. We don’t own that stadium and to sustain us and the Jets, plus concerts and stuff. That’s really what a huge part of it is. The Jets have to have a say and the owners of the stadium have to have a say.”
I bet a couple of free medium Pepsi's would move the decision making along...
Note that Jove stated that a grass field MIGHT

What about the practice field both indoor and outside?
I know they have grass outside but is there also a section of artificial and what about the indoor practice turf or doesn't that matter? Consistency of surfaces during practice week would help IMO.

Good to see Julian Love involved.

If they are doing that in '25, it's probably because they're getting money for it. First I've heard of that though.
Who owns the stadium?
