To me it’s very obvious what this team needs right now. A legit WR1, a top OC, and an impactful ILB. WR1 will not be available in free agency so trade or draft will be needed for that. As for OC and ILB, there are some nice options sitting out there.
ILB:
Tremaine Edmunds
Lavonte David
OC:
Ethan Pocic
Garrett Bradbury
If I had my pick of the litter I’d be leaning towards Lavonte David and Ethan Pocic. David, while older, encompasses much of what this Giants defense needs. He has the better instincts than Edmunds and his veteran leadership could be a huge intangible on a pretty young defense. Pocic on the other side is a step below the elite OC and is 28 years old. You’ll probably be looking in the $10 million a year range per guy and I think this would be money well spent. If I’m the Giants, I’m letting Barkley walk to be able to utilize the cap to solidify the CB and WR depth.
I’m just not looking forward to everyone calling him “Edwards” like they call Hodgins “Hodgkins”
But Edmunds would be a godsend for a team that severely lacks athletic ILB. Plus, it’ll piss Greg off.
Drew Tranquil
TJ Edwards
Kwon Alexander
Matt Ioannidis
Soloman Thomas
Arden Key
Rock Ya - Sin
JaMycal Hasty
and maybe take a shot at Donte Fowler
To your list, I would add (obviously not all of them):
UFA
Dalton Risner, Max Scharping, Nate Davis
Rock Ya Sin, Byron Murphy
Mecole Hardman, Ashton Dulin (stolen from Sy) or Parris Campbell
Hayden Hurst, Maxx Williams
Miles Sanders (if it doesnt work out with Barkley), Matt Breida
Devin Bush
Possible Cap Casualties
Calvin Ridley
Shaq Mason
Tyler Higbee
Trade
Brandon Aiyuk

They just traded for Calvin Ridley
Giants have bigger fish to fry in house and the cap space will dry up quickly.
Whatever it is, We need a game-changing LB the most, off of what I’ve seen this season and how teams have exploited us there..
He is made for us… this is my fav FA, plus Joe and Dabs know him, so let’s lock him up
Sewell from Oregon is one that could be there.
No more stop gap measures. Get us a playmaker in the middle of the field that can shed blocks and stop the run.
Edmunds, OG Risner, trade for Tee Higgins. FA is terrible for WR this year.
ILB as a position looks to be a sweet spot in FA this year like OG was last year so I think we will see them bring in 1 of those guys with 1 of the multi-year deals they give out. Edmunds was a captain in Buffalo with Schoen/Dabs and TJ Edwards was a philly find when Brandon Brown was there. So I'd bet on 1 of those 2.
WR and OL are both fascinating positions where there are no obvious names. I'm not sure they'll be able to get both Gates and Feliciano back so they may need to make a decision there on who they want to start at C (id choose gates). after that then they should sign some more depth minimum guys with experience like last year.
they also need a good 3rd DT. Greg Gaines has always impressed me but Jarran Reed is another one i'd be good with. I think he was at Bama when Daboll was there. Dre'mont jones would be good too but maybe a little more expensive. Matt Ioniddis could be a cheap 1 year option as well.
at CB Dane Jackson from Buffalo is a younger guy who is probably getable on a 1 year deal as well since he'll be looking for a chance to start. he pressed in college and had a decent year this year. Anthony Averett is a FA again and he played with Wink in BAL for a few years. He got a 1 year 4m with LV last year but missed a bunch of games. Could be another good buy low on a 1 year deal to upgrade Moureau.
Dalton Risner
Bobby Okereke
Draft WR and CB in first two rounds
Can Leo’s contract be restructured
Can Glowinski be cut without cap implications?
People here can’t stand Slaytons drops, they’re going to hate Davis
agree but the biggest question with any desireable young UFA this year is do the bears go after them?
they have enough cap space to sign anyone they want and beat any offers so they will essentially get first dibs on whoever makes it to UFA like payne, edmunds, etc.

Well at least there will be someone new to blame when Jones doesn't improve much.

He is young and our GM knows him. You have to think he will be on the Giants radar. These are the type of players that are worth long term contracts from the outside. I can see Edmunds teaming with Beavers to be a nice ILB Tandem.

Good point. The Bears have the most cap space in the league. I guess the prospect of playing on a playoff team behind Dex Lawrence and Leo Williams might be attractive. It will come down to money as well.

What? You weren't a fan of Jason Tuck?

familiarity with the fo/coaching staff is big too. edmunds may come down to money but lesser players who are only going to command 1 year deals like dane jackson may choose to go where they trust the people in charge to help them have good seasons to earn bigger deals next year.
I notice tranquill and ekeler a lot
I'm not a C expert, but it seems like a pretty deep class: Oluwatimi, Schmitz, Wypler, Stromberg...

Not as good as Rickie James
