lack of quality depth at DB and LB = bad special teams no matter who the STC is.

Although I can't imagine Tepper going back to the well looking to resuscitate a lottery pick QB after the failed experiments with Darnold and Mayfield.

What are the rules on signing a player who was tagged. Isn't it two first round picks? Can compensation like that be changed?

How about #9 overall and Brian Burns?

not 100% sure.

I'm not a Burns fan, look for power+speed rusher instead of speed (Burns).

I doubt we hear about any about the Giants resigning Jones or Barkley “soon” (say before the Super Bowl).

Head coach, coordinator hirings, other staff changes and maybe some lower level FA resignings is all we’ll see in the short term.

Ideally I'd love for the stadium to be grass but I don't see that happening, even though to me it's mostly a question of $$$.

I'm also with you on #4 on your list.

Stroud vs UGA will get me to take another look, but OSU QBs play with so much talent around them, it tends to overrate them imo. Levis was disappointing, but really liked him going into 2022. Interested to see if the NFL thinks he's trending down or was it more about his lack of surrounding cast. Richardson is mega raw. I really like Cam Ward, Cam Rising, Caleb W, and of course I started banging the drum Week One after watching Drake Maye. Not sure which of them might be in the draft at this point, not all are draft eligible. Right now I'd probably punt QB to 2024 as they're likely to tag Jones.

I'd say the result of the last game maybe makes 1) & 2) slightly more likely, although they will be able to interview now. There are enough candidates being thrown around to help with this.
3) McGaughey: isn't he a holdover from Shurmur/Judge? So not 1st year, he might get the "size 10 in the ass" . . . would not surprise me, but he has survived worse situations
4) NY did have more injuries than Jets with the same field for 1/2 the games, seems like it has been a problem for a few years

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the context of your post, but Julian Love spilled the beans that they're installing FieldTurf Revolution 360 this offseason, with the anticipation being real grass by 2026. This was reported recently.

I am not going to say that your scenario does not make sense on paper .... but, do we really want to get rid of Jones right now? Neither Phil Simms nor Eli Manning came into the league like a Dan Marino .... it took a few years before those 2 developed into a SB winning QB - especially Phil.

Do we really know what we have in DJ just yet? If nothing else this season proved he has got balls and is a hard worker and is a dual threat?

I would love to play DJ, twice a year, for the next 4 years. Ask the Eagles and Cowgirls how scary it is. 180 passing yards and 1 TD? Oh noooo!
