This will not be a popular opinion, but I wonder if he might be a potential replacement for Kafka should he leave. Worked many years under Andy Reid and could likely have some similar concepts and ideas. The benefit is that he is not likely to get a 2nd HC chance and could potentially be here for a while. I have a feeling that this is mostly Daboll's offense anyway.
When was that said? Not saying it didn't happen. I just didn't see that.
If so, I'd say Wilkins or Patterson on D, though Wink would likely take Wilkins with him. The Vikings D interestingly took quite a hit when Patterson left, though so did Zimmer, who was a defensive coach. On offense Groh was OC with the Eagles for a couple years. Tierney is quite green. Not sure anyone there impresses me as OC, and I'd rather someone like a Nagy.

From the PC:
"Q: Do you anticipate any changes to your coaching staff? Do you have to always prepare for the potential of replacing a coordinator if they get a (head coaching) job?
Daboll: Like I’ve said all season, I’ve had a lot of confidence in our guys. They’ve done a great job, and women, on our staff. When you have these interviews that come up, and I’ve been part of them the last three seasons, you always have to have a plan because you never know what’s going to happen if (defensive coordinator) Wink (Martindale) gets a job, if (offensive coordinator Mike) Kafka gets a job. So, you have to go through the whole process. The good thing about being here for the second year is that you have a lot of people in place that again, to go back to what I said about the players, that know how we do things. So, as I’m sitting up there with (director of coaching operations Laura Young) LY and going through calendars and OTA practices and when the offseason starts and self-scout, we do a lot of things. Last year was the first time we all did it together. This will be the second time. So, a little bit more smooth."
I interpreted that as they are looking inward....

I took it as if one leaves we have people who can do the work that’s needed while we find a new guy and he has someone who will help him find said person. Basically everyone here knows what is expected from everyone else kinda like how he views wr’s,both lines etc. know one position know them all mentality
On the defensive side, I think that would be true.
I mean Wink gave Dean Wilkins a ringing endorsement before he was hired with the Giants.
I don't know who on the offensive side.
I wouldn't want Nagy here.
