Randle is so frustrating. Unreal night shooting but how many turnovers does he have in the 4th alone? 3 off the top of my head and another one he got bailed out on.
RE: RE: Randle's gotta be the biggest crybaby in the league today
Mitchell was trying to have an MSG moment and the Knicks finally stepped up on their home floor and said no. Cavs aren’t a whole lot better than us right now, honestly. Maybe if Mobley makes a leap of some kind they’ll get to that top tier.
How many times does he have to score more points than minutes played to get more PT??
Some basketball writer said in an interview, "In the NBA, you are who you can guard." I don't think Obi can really guard anyone but power forwards. He hasn't meshed well with Randle when they play together and it's hard to take Randle out for long stretches when he's playing as well as he has been, even with the flaws in his game.
Obi's in a bad situation and would be better off on another team, as much as it pains me to say so.
and i dont want to move him because i think he can be really good, but i think its time to move Obi for a wing that can play the 10 minutes behind Randle and the 10 minutes behind Rj..
Problem for Obi he has been pgeonholed into Randle's back up and cant play another position ao his minutes are now limited.
For Obi's sake and probably to improve the team, he should be traded
Why free them? It’s called depth. Unless you tell me what the return is. I think our executives know we need a star. There just isn’t one available yet. They are not making a trade just to make one.

It has been pretty widely reported that the Knicks offered a package at least on par with what Cleveland did, and which most analysts I’ve seen/heard actually felt was better than what Utah ended up taking.
I guess you can argue that Rose should have offered even more, but kudos to him for not overpaying because Ainge wanted to take a lesser deal out of spite.
he IS hesitant to make deals it seems BUT i cant kill him for the Utah deal, even Donovan Mitchell alluded to Ainge not making a deal with NY..
There will be other players that become available and honestly if Randle and Brunson are going to play like all stars, you may not need that superstar, they may jist need another all star/upgrade around Brunson and Randle..
and maybe the Cavs go on a big winning streak soon

The apparent hang up was protected versus unprotected picks. You simply cannot let a deal fall through for a star because of something as ridiculous as that. A star like Mitchell gets this team at or near the top teams in the East. If those picks end up being high enough to be protected the entire thing is a failure anyways. You think they would be picking mid to late 20’s for the next few years, they aren’t getting protected anyways
Tells me if we make a move for Myles Turner… between him and Robinson missing games left and right, Sims will get a lot of PT
Agreed. For the life of me I cannot figure out their apparent obsession with Turner. We’ve heard the Knicks connected to him for two years now. I just don’t see how he moves the needle at all

Its his skillset, you have a coach that wants to play big so Turner adds a player who brings the same thing defensively as Mitch with much better offensive skillset..
When a team tries to beat you by going small, eith Turner you can kill them for it because he can take advantage in the paint, that Mitch cant..
Turner also adds a threst from the outside, so in close games when Randle or Brunson tries to get into the paint the other teams center cant just sit in the paint..
it adds another dimension to this team and 100% makes them better

You are much, much, much higher on Turner than I am, lol. I fully understand his skill set but between his unavailability at times and the fact he’s a UFA after this season I just don’t see why giving up assets for him is a good idea at all. He’s going to want a huge contract. But regardless of what I think, if they are that infatuated with him sign him in the offseason. Use the assets elsewhere
3 team trade I just made up which actually works under the cap:
Knicks get: OG and John Collins
Hawks get: Siakam and RJ
Raptors get: Trae Young and Julius Randle
there is a poisen pill in his contract this year, so if you trade him, only 10 million counts as outgoing salary but i believe the incoming salary to a new team is around 27 million..so you need a team with cap space to take an extra contract from a team outgoing..

Myers is a very, very good GM. Is he the best in the league? Maybe, maybe not but the Knicks wouldn’t exactly be casting aside Pat Riley in order to hire him either.
NBA's Last Two Minute Report says that #Cavs guard Donovan Mitchell was fouled twice on drives to the basket last night in the final minute of the game. Neither one of them were whistled on the floor.

That’s not a rumor. That’s just made up ideas in the writer’s mind.
He argues way too much but nowhere near the biggest crybaby in the league
That was two big possessions, first one with the steal, second one he slowed Mitchell down so Hartenstein could get back
Well I highly doubt that's your area of expertise, but if you to come up with a list, be my guest.
Randle is horrible in the stretch dribbling straight into doubles

Doncic is the worst.

That was a clean block on Randle. Hate to say it and Barrett needs to be ready to shoot there

Watch Mobley, he grabs Randle to slow him down..it is what it is i guess
on D...makes sense to me
indeed
Defense
He didnt flop, tried to finish strong..
Three times denied going to the hoop in the last 1:30.
Good player; not worth six years of the draft, in picks and swaps, which is what Ainge wanted.
I dont think Sims makes that play that Hartenstein makes

lolllllll

One thing for certain is that Randle will always be high on the list, and he will stay high.
He's been high since 2019

Mitchell’s fg% at the rim is 70%. That’s a very high number for a guard.
I will take a win at the garden against a playoff team any way we can get it.
Such is life in the nba in 2023

As long as there’s a move in the off-season to send rj and more assets for “the guy” like Booker.
