Note - this is not about preferences. It's about who you feel will be here in September. I'll start.
1) I think they work out something with Jones - low to mid 30m per year.
2) I think Saquon walks. He wants and can get more than it makes sense to pay him.
3) Shepard's an interesting question. I have no idea.
4) Julian Love stays. They work out something reasonable. Every player can't be a star. Love is a good fit.
5) Gates - another tough one. I think he stays. The Giants know what he can do when healthy and they like him.
6) Breida - A good backup. He's played under Daboll for 2 seasons now and is a good fit.
7) Moreau - Another good backup. I think they'll find a way to bring him back after what he did with all the injuries at corner.
8) The Scottish Hammer - he was getting a little better at kicking it so it doesn't go into the end zone, but still has a problem there. I don't know about this one.
9) Richie James - I don't think he'll ask for too much to fill the bottom end of the receiver room.
10) Feliciano - bye bye - We can and will do better.
11) Justin Ellis/Nick Williams/Marcus Johnson etc will be gone.
That's all I got.
Additions - subtractions - changes. Go for it!
Love
Gates
Get Dex locked up long term now
Agree on Feliciano. He moves well and blocks on the move quite well. Would be a nice backup at C and G, at vet minimum or just above.
Love and Breida are decent pieces that I would give some effort to retain, but whatever on the others.
Saquon -- I think he signs a 3 year deal after making the rounds.
Love -- I think he leaves, he seems to overvalue himself, maybe someone pays him.
Feliciano -- I hope he ends up staying as the backup Center/Guard.
James -- I would like to see him come back
Shepard -- I think comes back on a 1 year incentive laden deal.
Breida -- He comes back, I think he is a perfect backup.
Love is an interesting case. He had a good year and seems like a good leader but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay him what he's looking for. Still have to lock up McKinney down the road. Think Love is gone.
No thanks. And I think Giants are moving on for sure. Aside from 1 or 2 games this year he was invisible and snaps disappeared latter half of season.

I don’t see a situation where we can pay both the safeties what they think market rate is. It’s one or the other.
I could see a scenario where Love takes bigger money elsewhere. I like him, but he seems like an average player.
This might be semantics, but I don't think Barkley "walks." The worst case would be a franchise tag and trade situation.
I think the Ximines experiment has to end.
I wonder if there are better options than Richie James in the slot. Shepard and Robinson would both be above him on the depth chart if healthy (I know, big if) and he will likely want to look for a starting spot.
I wonder if there are better options at punter. I hope they at least look into this.
filling your roster with guys like Richie James is how you win championships. Not because James is a top caliber WR, but because he is a solid player at a low cost.
This team has had zero depth for a decade. You cannot let players like this walk because you immediately want another player like him the minute he is gone.
Part of the success that the Pats had was constantly finding "football players" who were smart, who could do their job, and were dependable. We need more guys like this.
If you remove the one game when James had two special teams fumbles, he has been really good for us.

is back. A nothing special wr but will be low cost and he had a nice chemistry going with Jones. He could provide insurance against the Wandale injury. Despite what he says I doubt he is ready to go week 1 next year.

Good point - that's probably what they're getting at when they use the phrase - 'smart, tough, dependable'.

Nick Williams has some age on him, but they did like him before he was hurt.
Ximines is in the same situation as several of DGs draftees. Underperforming but coming to the end of the rookie contract. Unless the rookie contract carries a big cap number (I don’t think we have anyone like that since everyone is slotted), you keep him around, put him on the 90-man roster and hope the light bulb comes on. If not, he gets cut in August or sooner.
