Interesting take on how the Bengals have accumulated talent via poor previous season but soon will be faced with Salary Cap restraints that the Bills have.
Interesting take is the Bills being over the cap this year and needing to make some moves to get under the 2023 cap.
Some players that may be cut or traded:
WR Gabriel Davis
LB Matt Milano
CB Taron Johnson
C Mitch Morse

ha ha, so you looked at the numbers and made a decision based on that alone. The Bills are disappointed in his play and he becomes an asset that they can move for more picks (cheaper contracts for a longer term).
I would not like just about everything else he said though if I was a Bills fan or if I was in that building.
Seems like a lot of excuses imv and hiding from the biggest detriment that has hurt the Bills. Your team has gotten beaten now twice in a row in the playoffs on both sides of the LOS.
I hope Schoen is able to work out a reasonable deal.
Otherwise, we could go back to the pre-salary cap days, or make exceptions for keeping homegrown talent, which I would love.

I guess it's not fair to say that the Bills are "struggling" but IMO the huge cap hits should be for the truly elite QBs. Giving out huge deals to the Murray's or aging Wilson's of the world, not to mention the Cousins/Carr/Wentz types are bigtime anchors.
If they pay him. The Eagles must decide to let him walk and draft a QB. That front office seems to be ahead of everyone.

May decide*
But, they certainly didn't help themselves by signing and over aged/often injured defensive end.
Miller will count 18.5+ mil against their cap this year.
This list was compiled based on the Giants' perceived needs not on managing the Bills cap. Much more likely they get rid of Ed Oliver who can't play the run or Tim Settle who has been worthless.
Beane never said or implied that. He's suggesting Cincy has an enormous advantage having two premium positions under rookie contracts.
He’s also originally a Commack kid

Almost zero chance Davis gets traded in the offseason. He's cost controlled and doesn't save that much against the cap. And despite what commentators say, the Bills are not as disappointed in his play as fans think. However, they do think he is more of a #3 (or 4) than a #2. His limited route tree is what limits him. Cutting McKenzie would save more money and his role is easily replaced by a draft pick.

I totally agree that the main problem with the Bills is that they were beaten on the LOS twice in the playoffs. That is by far the biggest issue. But Beanne addressed this right off the bat yesterday.
"We want to be strong upfront....both sides of the ball. If we think there are better players there, in draft or via free agency, we won't hesitate to add."
The Head Coach said something similar the day before. I paraphrase but McDermott said it's a league of OL play, DL play, and then playmakers. I personally agree.

Spot on Willie
By all accounts, Allen did not regress. He threw more picks in the red zone. Some of that is on the elbow, OL, and new OC, but he's the same player he was last year.
I listened to the press conference. He never said Chase beat them. He said they were blown out because they couldn't control the LOS.
"That game we didn't get it done up front on either side the ball, and that starts with me."

The Eagles have a top 10 pick. It's not out of the realm of possibility they draft a QB.
However, they have some age in key spots on the roster. They may need to stick with Hurts and replenish the rest of the roster.
... or they draft their next starting QB in the 5th round. Who knows.

They'll find an all pro playing in a Rugby minor league.
I honestly wonder what happens with Burrow and the Bengals.
It is crazy to think Burrow wouldn't reset the market, but the Bengals are so cheap and so stubborn, I could see high drama in the next couple of seasons.
Burrow is eligible to negotiate a new deal this off season.
ARodgers to the Jets with that D and Have young Zach learn from a GOAT. Wow
And Diggs is no spring chicken so expect him to be declining soon or already is. Sorry Beane that's just how the game works.

if Breece Hall didn’t get injured, he, Garrett Wilson, and Sauce Gardner would likely all be ROTY finalists. Bills window closing fast.

Rodgers looks like he is slipping, quite a bit. Would be helpful to jets but they need more oline too.

Hard to replace 800+ yards of production and 7 td’s for less then a million dollars in todays NFL with inflated salaries

40+ mill a year, so they are going to run into cap constraints. This is the drawback of having a franchise QB on a second deal. The Bengals will have to pay Burrow 50+ mill a year, so they’ll be in tighter constraints.

If he plays like he has done so far and they keep making the play-offs, then given he is also a Ohio native, it's not going to play well with the fanbase if they don't re-sign him.

Chase didn’t beat them, they got their ass kicked up front.

Right, which isn’t why they lost. They lost because of the draft picks and FA acquisitions he made along the DL who couldn’t beat a Cincy OL starting 3 backups that wasn’t that good to begin with. They lost because his DC pick is trash. They lost because their OL got whooped by Cincy’s front 7. It had nothing to do with Burrow and Chase being cheap at the moment.
He did make a comment about not building the way Cincy has and referenced the lean years. Here’s a news flash, Cincy has a chance to be back in the SB again while you waste prime Allen years.
