Nick Foles?
Some players have really interesting career trajectories. I thought it might be fun to explore why. I thought Foles would be interesting since it might shed some light on how to think about QB play.
Foles twice in his career has looked like a top 5 QB or at least close to it. His first year as a starter was epic and near MVP level. He can't keep a job, becomes a back up, and then takes a team on a SB run and wins the SB MVP. Gets a big deal and can't keep a job. Probably ends his career as a set piece in the Kayvon snow angel performance art exhibit.
What allowed him to be so epically good and then not? Not just once but twice? I don't really have answers. Just questions.
The most public headcase QB -- where all the talent in the world was there, but his head was not screwed on right is Jeff George.
