I know there was a departure of weapons that left GB, but Rodgers was a different player under Hackett. Back to Back MVP's and one of the NFL's most productive offenses.
RE: Rodgers is all about some big Johnson and Johnson (and otherconspirac
Hit send on accident. He's all about some conspiracy against him from Johnson & Johnson. Is he really going to go play for Woody Johnson? Very well might but it would be pretty funny if that is indeed what happens.
and he is coming.. Woody got wood! Jets are going to be good nxt yr. perfect match for both, he gets good team with good young weapons and a good-soon to be great D. The GM can draft and they can use this to help bring up and grow up the young immature QB. Aaron has a rep as being a good teammate and mentor
Let’s hope the D and that win streak is overrated and they miss the playoffs again. I’d prefer the Giants be the better team. If they do get Rodgers I hope it is at the expense of the cap and assets.
but it would be a very Jet move and then they have to draft another top 10 QB, the 3rd in 10 years because I only see Rodgers doing another year or 2. He's 39 and the Jets are where careers go to die...LOL.
but much more likely the Jets once again have egg on their face and couldn't hire a decent candidate and are desperate, definitely not one better than scapegoat Lafleur.
as to what sort of offensive prowess Hackett brings to the table (apart from one good season in Jacksonville where they basically handed the ball to Fournette every other play). From all I've read it sounds like his greatest contribution in GB was being able to make Rodgers laugh.
Rodgers is 40 and is out of his prime now. He's going to waste his last couple years on a loser organization that loses every year with no #1 WR? Sure.

Woody Johnson and the Johnson family have absolutely no business relationship with the Johnson and Johnson company. They are simply heirs. The Johnson family hasn’t been any part of the company for decades

Garret Wilson is 100% a number one WR.
Absolutely. I'm sure Rodgers is going to go there to throw to him in his last gasp at a chance for a championship since 2010.
Get a boat load of money, lead the Jets to a couple of first round playoff appearances, and possibly even win that division (Buffalo looks vunerable, Pats on the decline, and Miami with possible QB issues if Tua has more concussions).
Then he can sign with one of the networks for mega bucks announcing (he's a lot more attractive option than Brady..Aaron is comfortable speaking to an audience, as per his Pat McAfee show appearances). New York is a perfect place to make connections and launch his second career in media.
to his choking in the playoffs rather than pretend like he's walking off into the sunset every time he loses to avoid uncomfortable press conferences. Its beyond weak.
I’d want no part of Rodgers, especially if the team has to give up meaningful picks to get him.
Thought Rodgers looked like he was declining last yr. Around 70% of what he once was. Give Jets 1 more oline and breece hall back mid yr, they could cause problems. But it’s a 1-2 yr fix at best.
RE: Why not? It worked so well with the last washed up Packers QB
now he's going to the Jets for the same thing? Dude has a weird way of getting a job.
I don't think the Jets is the worst place for Rodgers. Decent receivers and backs, a good OL if it can stay healthy and a really good defense to keep you in games. Worse places to try and get a ring to end it.
Based on the Joe Rogan Podcast he strikes me as a Montclair guy. In all seriousness I don't mind the Jets as much as others do around here, they should pull the trigger on this move even if he's 70-80% of what he was.

I guess that's one way to avoid admitting that you just got called out (deservedly so) on that silly "no #1 WR" comment, by just ignoring that you actually made the comment in the first place.
Stunk in Denver
In Jax he's the guy who turned Bortles into the greatest that he was
In Buffalo was the OC in guiding them to the 29th rated passing attack.
Fire your OC and replace him with a guy who was the OC for your departed OC’s brother. Mel Kiper, Jr. wasn’t really talking about the Colts, he was talking about the Jets.
Rodgers would leave if traded? I believe the cap hit would be $100M if traded this year. That just isn’t happening.
I was wondering the same. See attached link

Thanks for this Mike, it certainly looks feasible to move Rodgers, but not until after June 1. I guess the trading team could negotiate terms and they hold off on announcing it.

That Midwest club scene...

I imagine that the compensation would be steep.
A big johnson? You mean Woody?
This should be very interesting if Rodgers does come to New York, I would enjoy the atmosphere his presence will add to NY football.
Jets would be able to do some things with AR and guys like Hall, Wilson, Davis, Moore, Berrios, etc.

As usual, the Jets get used.

Giving up 2 firsts seems, wise🤦♂️.
I look forward to us beating them this season.
Which is also why it will cost the Jets 2 1st round picks. The packers would have no FA money to spend and probably be forced to cut a few players

Post June 1st => 15.8 mil dead cap
So, a trade could possibly work.
Jets would have to pay a ton though.

What a stuf

C. Davis was the 5th overall pick in 2017
Mims and Moore were second round picks
They have a lot of WR talent, a good TE and a really good RB
They have offensive skill talent. They have a bad HC
