Owner James Dolan is threatening to pick a night at the Garden, possibly a Rangers game, to shut down alcohol sales in response to the New York State Liquor Authority allegedly coming after Dolan about his facial-recognition technology that has resulted in bans against lawyers suing him. |
The day he sells the Knicks and Rangers will be a day for a ticker tape parade down broadway.
You have just been entered into the facial recognition database for banned customers that have criticized Dolan. Congratulations!

LOL
Consider how stupid this is. He is costing himself much much more money than he is costing the state in tax revenue. The state wouldn't even notice if MSG didn't sell alcohol for an entire season of Rangers games.
I mean, they got Sarver, time to take on a bigger fish.
The thinking was that the ballooning costs of his sphere project would force him into selling the team to cover the $600M. One issue is, he's instead trying to sell the Tao Group in order to cover some of those costs. I believe estimates were that he'd be able to recoup about ~$300M so half.
We are stuck with him unless the MSG sphere project falls on it's face but it one of the most highly anticipated projects in 20 years in Vegas.
They are making money, as long as they are making money they dont care

Indeed.
You'll get all the liquor you want there. It's the peons in the regular seats who would suffer.
Power, stature and the best way to have your money in an investment, they know for sure they wont lose it
