Brian Daboll was named 2022 NFL Coach of the Year by the Pro Football Writers Association of America. Daboll is also a finalist for the Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year award. Daboll was a big hit in year No. 1 with the Giants.
If I can nitpick for one second. Please forgive me.
But three situations in my opinion that I faulted him with:
1. Adoree back to return punts and his subsequent knee injury.
2. Deferring the opening kick-off in the Minnesota playoff game with a defense that is not dominant but situational. Led to their scoring a quick TD on their first drive.
3. Again- Deferring the opening kick-off in the Philly playoff game for the same reason....which led to their scoring quickly and we could not recover. It doesn't matter if we get the second half kickoff when we are 4 TD's behind.
That's it. Otherwise....Brilliant!
Daniel Jones, Super Bowl MVP.
That'd be something!
I was thinking when I saw the Daboll headline that we should give Schoen some credit too for getting Daboll here.

This is my opinion. I totally agree with number one. Really wrong. However, I think number two and three were valid options. Getting the ball to start the second half is very desirable. I also do not know the Giants record of first time possessions. I suspect not very good.
+1
Number one reason the eagles and cowboys are where they are if you ask me, is the front office.
No offense, I don't think he is either blind or a hog.
I think we got our coach for a while.

I’m not sure what game you watch, but I would say 95% of coaches would defer to start with the ball in the 2nd half. It’s an advantage. Who goes onto a game thinking the other team is going to score on an opening drive???
You can get on him for the Jackson decision but the other 2 are just wrong.
