#Cowboys DC Dan Quinn informed interested teams that he is staying in Dallas, per sources.
Quinn was a top candidate for the #Cardinals’ head coaching job and also interviewed with the #Colts and #Broncos. But his heart is in Dallas and he wants to win a Super Bowl there.
I half expected him to be named the new Dallas HC. I wonder if that's still his play.
Chris just beat me to the punch.
I'm surprised Quinn trusts Jerry like that. I mean Jerry can go back on his word easily.
Or all those franchises are a dumpster fire. Didn't even mention the Jets.

Sure but he’s probably making more than most HCs right now in tax free Texas and doesn’t have near the responsibilities of a HC. He’s already been fired from one HC job so who can blame him for passing on jobs he may not feel are the right opportunity

If Sean Payton shows even the slightest bit of interest in Dallas, Jerruh will toss Quinn to the side.
This. Is Payton trying to save face ...

The Panthers are no longer an option for Sean Payton. And there was an issue with Payton's interview with the Broncos. Payton likes the idea of coaching Russell Wilson and having that defense but fears a potential power struggle with a member of the ownership group, source says.

It's described as "an issue" in Payton's interview with the Broncos. The former Saints head coach has lost some helium towards finding a job in recent days with the Broncos reportedly going towards DeMeco Ryans as their lead candidate and the Panthers hiring Frank Reich. It's looking more likely than ever that Payton will remain on FOX -- something he at one point before the end of the season described as a "70% chance."

That can't be true. Bbi kept telling me why we don't have an elite QB like Dak.
When I read this report I thought for sure Quinn was moving on and the team was just clearing the deck for the next DC.
Dallas is on a tough cap situation though so they are definitely going to lose some talent. We shall see but it’s going to be interesting to see how they handle the off-season.
When Prescott was injured, McCarthy proved himself to the league but most importantly to Jerry and Stephen Jones. It seems the fans didn't catch on.. He's a good coach.
Unfortunately, I think what is happening is people look at McCarthy and judge him based on the fact he looks like a blowfish. He's a good coach.

Back to back 12-5 seasons, and Prescott missed a lot of time this year. It's not easy to win 12 games in consecutive years in the NFL. Does anyone really think he's underachieving in Dallas?

Yep. People have been blaming the HC in Dallas for 28 years for them not winning a SB. Coach after coach after coach. It’s always the coach
Dak's a good QB, but he remains a work in progress as a passing QB. He's still mistake-prone and that tends to show up in the biggest games against the better teams. Cowboys have historically played an undisciplined game, going way back. I think it's part cultural to the organization too, always missing ingredients. Let it ride, Jerrah.
