I hope Panarin reads it. also had to laugh at this:
"The message relayed to the team on a consistent basis is the one that Bill Chadwick repeatedly delivered to Barry Beck, though indirectly from the television booth when The Big Whistle teamed with Jim (Chim) Gordon: “Shoot the puck, Barry.”
"Chim" LOL. Good times
Nice win last night to go into the break.
Rangers shooting more but plenty of room for improvement: ‘We talk about it every day’ - (

Kreider was much more active last night
Cullye’s first fight. He held his own against a tough dude.
Good win and Halak is playing well

Panny was doing better under Quinn. Actually so was much of the offense. Offense especially 5v5 seems 'clunky' ubder Gallant. Quinn and Gallant are opposites. Gallants teams are well managed but he doesnt seem to get good flow 5v5. Quinn got the O to flow better but did little else well as the lead guy.
Because he's shooting to score (IOW evade someone) and he's passing to connect with someone, not even remotely similar.
Often shooters do try and get too precise when picking corners or top shelf or even small spaces on the fringes they see as uncovered by the goalie, and the result is you miss the net, but you would almost always rather that than shooting at the goalie.
It normally settles in at players averages, so if Panarin (for example) is missing the net more than normal you can expect it to settle, but I'd still almost always rather a player miss the net than take a shot at the goalie.
With two exceptions - 1: shots where you are purposely looking for a rebound or 2: the wide side shot from a set play - because when you miss the net wide on the latter it usually results in a zone exit and with the offense set and not in motion even sometimes results in a scoring chance the other way. those plays you cannot (should not) miss the net wide to the far side.

The more you put the puck on net the more happens
- Cuylle was more involved (:>, sent off for fighting in his first home game, but he showed more confidence getting to the net and forechecking
- Harper had a nice game I thought, couple of good plays in the slot to snuff out Vegas possessions
- Halak very active and focused, very good game, but man he looks older than his age. I think he's very happy to get these starts at this point in his career
- Kakko looking so confident on his skates and with the puck, at times almost as if Vegas d-men stopped trying to take it away from him; didn't show on the scoresheet, but he is a force and makes his line better
- Fox and Lindgren read each other so well when one is pinching in and going up higher
- Panarin tries to check, fore- and back-, at times he really does, he's just not very good at it ):
