the Bengals are not getting enough respect. They are perfectly capable of winning this game.
Really? I have them winning this one 44-0.
Not only can they beat the Chiefs, of the two, they're the only one I think has a prayer of beating the Eagles.
But honestly, I think the Eagles will steamroll both of the AFC teams. Too much strength on the lines. 49ers were the only team that had even close to the horses on the lines needed to beat them, and that was over pretty quick with Purdy injury (even then, I still think the Eagles were the better team overall).
are our bet to beat Philly. They have a Jedi mind trick offense with lots of spreading out on their passing attack, use of screens. On defense they have enough talent on front seven with Clark, Jones, Karlaftis, Bolton and few depth guys to make things interesting. Their young corners and safeties worry me a bit though but Spags should be able to come up with something.
I just don’t share the vitriol for that kid. It s sad how injury prone he is.
I think the vitriol is because he seemed to have faked injury while with the Giants.
I know, but I m not sure that s the case. I think he just can’t stay healthy, I think his attitude might have been how he was perceived because of those injuries
Wounded lol. I m thrilled Daniel is going to be the Giants quarterback going forward.
I m just messin with you Producer, I understand Burrow is a very good quarterback. But truth be told, if Jones made some of the plays Burrow made tonight , you d have been brutal
All Burrow did was throw it up and let Chase have a chance to make a play on it. Nothing special about the pass. Jones has no one that can make a contested 1-on-1 play, our guys need to be schemed open

No. Burrow did more than just throw it up. It was pinpoint to a spot. Chase knew where it would go and he fought to the spot. Because he knows where it's going the defenders don't have a chance
Oh, come on, have you been watching Mahomes play this quarter? It’s been amazing.
All I'm saying is had Jones done that in the Vikings playoff game, nothing else would have mattered. Mahomes is vastly superior to Jones, but that was the kind of thing he would get Jones crucified around here.

True, it was a great throw. But the point remains that no one on the current Giants roster would have had the same ability to catch that pass even if Burrow threw it.

Players who consistently make great plays and compete for championships get a pass when they make the odd boneheaded play, at least from me

Go look at it again. Rewind. It is obvious. When the ball was released, Chase had a step and a half on the corner and the safety was caught flat footed. If the ball was out on front of Chase, he would have scored on that play.

Rewatch the original 3rd & 9 that the ref said was blown dead before the play. Watch the ref. There is absolutely NOTHING to suggest this play was blown dead. He calls the play as normal. A pathetic mess by the officials.
We need a punter who can directional kick and pin balls inside 10 or out of bounds.
It is a lost art. Guys just do not know how to do that anymore. Just a few punters left it seems.
Meanwhile, a right footed punter needs to have good blocking on that right side. It is easier to directionally kick to the sideline on our dominant side.

Official on the sideline was the one running in, not the ref..
He got shoved by a DE when he shouldnt have. You guys need to check the rules and understand that he’s also trying not to put too much pressure on the ankle on top of it. Easy call.

It was a dumb play by the defender, but it was absolutely a flop. He thre his arms up and went to the ground to draw that penalty.
RE: RE: is the player who is crying on the sideline
You know it’s easy to call the guy an idiot from your couch
But he was running at full speed with his arm stretched trying to push him out of bounds, he is trying to get the guy and that is his focus. He pushed him on a follow through. He was not trying to hit him late it was a bang bang play and that this league can’t swallow that flag is absurd and obscene

That wasn't a flop, nobody who flops goes down that hard and goes into a bench. And Ossai didn't even protest.
all the fucking whining about the refs and the fix is in. which call today was questionable in either game?
I don’t know the AJ brown defensive holding on third down.
Devonta smith didn’t catch the bad (turnover on downs)
Blocked into kicker (got first down and td)
3 of four Tds in eagles game were just brutal
They also missed an obvious hold on Hendrickson and an even more obvious block in the back on the PR that directly led to 30 extra yards of field position. The officiating was absolutely terrible today and theories on a rigged outcome completely aside needs to be improved significantly.
if the Giants lost this way Id be screaming. End of game trying to make a stop. Every inch counts. Yikes. I feel bag for Bengals and really didn't care who won.
The last replay angle from behind shows that when he was shoved Mahomes actually tripped over his own or the DEs foot (hard to tell). He lost his footing on top of the late hit.

How about giving a team 2 third downs?
I’m sure you see that just about every game
they showed the ref in the back blowing the whistle
You said questionable, they let the entire play happen and then even the start of a punt on 4th down lol. How is that not questionable? That ref did nothing to get the attention of anyone during the play, and didn’t do anything to reset the down immediately after

You can go back to every single play and say oh they missed that call or this call..If they thrown those flags, people would complain the officials were over officiating and throwing to many flags
…
And they are the most incompetent people in the world
Fans have been complaining about officiating since the beginning of time. You are never going to remove bad calls from the game. So, you just have to make enough plays to where a bad call does not cost you the game.

Late hit is supposed to be when a guy wants to hit a guy late and inflict damage or whatever.
That wasn’t what happened there. That was a guy stretching out to get a guy at full speed on a bang bang play where every freaking inch counted. If the NFL wants to decide an NFL season on that, well I am not sure I want to stick around as a fan. That is disgraceful

Mahomes had both feet out and Ossai shoved him . That gets called 100% of the time. It was a stupid penalty because Mahomes was already out of bounds.

I am not arguing that it was technically a late hit. I am arguing that anyone with a brain knew what happened there and the refs should have swallowed that whistle
was after the extra third down, they stopped them again but refs called the NFL's favorite penalty, defensive hold/PI
Brutal.
The push was a penalty I guess as Mahomes had two feet out. But, in that spot I could see not calling it. It decided the game.
Cheifs and Eagles had a lot of favorable calls today. A lot.
so again, there is video evidence the back guy blew his whistle to stop the play and then eli apple hugged the wr harder than he hugs him mommy. what was even questionable there?

I am personally tired of how PI and defensive holding in the secondary is called.
My opinion, to me the Bengals stopped them twice. Refs gave Chiefs the first down.

it was a bad call. The refs have to have better situational and emotional awareness there. This is the NFL for crying out loud, it’s a brutal game. It’s not just bad for that moment and game, it’s bad for the league. (Most of) these guys put their health, safety and hearts out on the field and the ref failed to make a rational call in the moment. You're crazy or being disingenuous if you think that was a bad call. That's called every time in any game, and not just against QBs. You cannot push someone when they are already out of bounds, and the Bengal started pushing Mahomes after Mahomes stepped out of bounds.

if the refs decided to make a different call than they would have at any other point in any other game all year, that would’ve been 1000x more controversial than them staying consistent. Mahomes had 2 feet out of bounds and was shoved into a bench. That’s getting called every time regardless of the players involved.

I love Burrows as a player but I just think the Chiefs are better suited for the Super Bowl matchup.
Agreed. That Bengals OL will get demolished against Philly.

Chris - I agree too.
Reid is the perfect guy to break down Philly's D and the soft spots. And a hopefully more mobile Mahomes helps a ton too.

No. Because he’ll turn into Golladay here. Let’s get our WR in the draft.

Yup. Which terrifies me a bit even if they win tonight and face Eagles. With that defense and secondary, Mahomes would have to be ultra disciplined.

I agree and the official was right there. Saw and heard everything. Dumb move by the KC player.
He knows exactly where the ball is going to be. Even though two defenders are there they never had a chance.
exactly... the melt down here would be epic
I mean he went out of bounds on 2nd and 1.
It’s not really that analytical. Throw it up to the tall, strong, fast guy who is a great player and see if he can come down with it.
they are Jason's mother
Good point.
No. Burrow did more than just throw it up. It was pinpoint to a spot. Chase knew where it would go and he fought to the spot. Because he knows where it's going the defenders don't have a chance

All I'm saying is had Jones done that in the Vikings playoff game, nothing else would have mattered. Mahomes is vastly superior to Jones, but that was the kind of thing he would get Jones crucified around here.

All Burrow did was throw it up and let Chase have a chance to make a play on it. Nothing special about the pass. Jones has no one that can make a contested 1-on-1 play, our guys need to be schemed open

Go look at it again. Rewind. It is obvious. When the ball was released, Chase had a step and a half on the corner and the safety was caught flat footed. If the ball was out on front of Chase, he would have scored on that play.

It is a lost art. Guys just do not know how to do that anymore. Just a few punters left it seems.
Meanwhile, a right footed punter needs to have good blocking on that right side. It is easier to directionally kick to the sideline on our dominant side.

You said questionable, they let the entire play happen and then even the start of a punt on 4th down lol. How is that not questionable? That ref did nothing to get the attention of anyone during the play, and didn’t do anything to reset the down immediately after
The refs were blwoing their whistle throughout the play and huddled immediately after kelce was tackled..
He then reset the clock and you could hear him clearly announce the play was whistled dead..it even happened earlier in the game
And thru all that effort they still let a punt happen 40 seconds after?

Wonder if the Broncos will light up downtown Denver red and yellow in honor of the Chiefs?!

all the fucking whining about the refs and the fix is in. which call today was questionable in either game?
How about giving a team 2 third downs?

The personal foul was devastating, but still need another look at the *punt return. Sure looked like at least one block in the back that was not called watching it live.

there was no punt. the punter went out, the announcement was made but because romo never shuts the fuck up he was saying they were going for it on 4th

You like insulting other people’s religious beliefs, huh?
yes.
Pathetic.
sorry for talking shit on the tooth fairy.
Funny that you care what other people say and believe. Says more about you than you realize.

if the Giants lost this way Id be screaming. End of game trying to make a stop. Every inch counts. Yikes. I feel bag for Bengals and really didn't care who won.

Mahomes had both feet out and Ossai shoved him . That gets called 100% of the time. It was a stupid penalty because Mahomes was already out of bounds.
It really isn’t, you just don’t understand where he is coming from. Might not be something that you would do, but a man s faith is something you should refrain from making ignorant comments about.
Brutal.
The push was a penalty I guess as Mahomes had two feet out. But, in that spot I could see not calling it. It decided the game.
Cheifs and Eagles had a lot of favorable calls today. A lot.

I am not arguing that it was technically a late hit. I am arguing that anyone with a brain knew what happened there and the refs should have swallowed that whistle

so again, there is video evidence the back guy blew his whistle to stop the play and then eli apple hugged the wr harder than he hugs him mommy. what was even questionable there?

was after the extra third down, they stopped them again but refs called the NFL's favorite penalty, defensive hold/PI

I am personally tired of how PI and defensive holding in the secondary is called.
My opinion, to me the Bengals stopped them twice. Refs gave Chiefs the first down.

cincy had 2 chances to win the game. those drives ended with a pick and a sack.

You're crazy or being disingenuous if you think that was a bad call. That's called every time in any game, and not just against QBs. You cannot push someone when they are already out of bounds, and the Bengal started pushing Mahomes after Mahomes stepped out of bounds.

it was a bad call. Just a bullshit call and if it were anyone but Mahomes I doubt they do throw that flag
if the refs decided to make a different call than they would have at any other point in any other game all year, that would’ve been 1000x more controversial than them staying consistent. Mahomes had 2 feet out of bounds and was shoved into a bench. That’s getting called every time regardless of the players involved.
