In anticipation of the Sunday Ticket moving to YouTube I cut the cord with DirecTV. I actually save money since the streaming service from YouTube is cheaper than the DirecTV satellite package.
It was hard to do since I prefer satellite over cable. But streaming is the only option going forward with the Sunday Ticket.
I think DirecTv just sealed it's fate. I bet they merge with Dish and eventually go out of business as streaming takes hold.
ATT spun DirecTV off into a separate company. They retained 70% ownership. ATT still services the billing.
Not sure what I'm going to replace it with. Isn't Sunday Ticket going to be sold as a separate item without subscribing to YouTube TV?
Have you had any issues with Hulu freezing and crashing? I've had Hulu since just before the pandemic hit. Overall it works and I definitely saved by switching to it. But the service freezes for me and at times crashes and I have to reboot the App. I run it off a Firestick on all my tvs. I don't have any issues when I use my laptop.

That’s very possible. Sunday Ticket will also stay with DirecTV for bars, hotels, restaurants, etc.
I am saving money by going to the YouTube streaming service instead of the DirecTV satellite service. And then paying whatever the Sunday Ticket costs. It might also be one team or all the Sunday afternoon games except what’s delivered on your local Fox and CBS stations.
I think you will need separate ROKU sticks to watch multiple games at the same time.

been using hulu live for a year now , happy with all the sports, news and movies. 70 month.it also supports local channels in phoenix area. you will need to check to see what is supported in your area. has dvr included which is nice.

I have Hulu Live as well and have only had one issue which was them loosing the feed for about a quarter during the Vikings playoff game…
Other than that it runs fine and I also use it on a Fire Stick. I’d look into what internet speed you’re getting but also into clearing the caches and managing the free data on the Firestick. I find everything performs better if I go into manage apps and clear the caches.
Yes.
There is a cord from the antenna to the DirecTV receiver, and a cord from the receiver to the TV.

Thanks for the reply Biteymax! I believe I have the fastest speed Verizon offers. I've reached out to Hulu for a solution, but their response continues to be to simply clear the cache and data. Aside from this issue, I've been pleased with the service. With YouTube getting the Ticket, I'll be leaning towards switching depending on the cost.
Leaning towards YouTube tv also
ESPN+.
I dropped Directv for YTTV. With the base package and a bunch of add-on packages, I am not missing one thing I had with Directv. Plus its still about 1/2 the price I was paying.

Will often stream movies or bing watch a series but I would hate it as my main source for watching television. Direct TV works so much better for us. Especially when it come to steaming live sports. I stream most Kmicks game with League Pass and it has been beyond frustrating this season

I will gladly pay more for DirectTV because for myself it's a far better product. Streaming for me a nice additional add on but is so much inferior experience I'd hate to have that as my sole television source.
I'm also really curious if you are able to record something to a DVD when streaming like you can from a DVR?
NY Blue I signed up with You Tube for the Philly game. Jumped through all hoops only to find mostly streaming sites and wagering sites. I missed most of first qtr trying to navigate. I finally gave up and grabbed my iPad and opened you tube and the game came up. To be clear- I know your it you tube but as a fellow cabin dweller that was frustrated by the clear path to a Giant game. I want to cut the cord but need a safe landing site.
Thanks. Hope to see you in north woods👍

TO me You Tube tv is well worth it. You can use on multiple TV's, I had a cabin in upstate NY and did not have to have a different account. You can use it while traveling and you can record both sports, Shows and movies to watch later.

I know your it= I know you’re not you tube customer service 🥴. Looking for guidance on navigating so I can cut the cord.
No, it’s not on YTTV.

yes I use an hdmi splitter to a recorder to save Giants games
How exactly does that work if you don’t mind me asking?
Plus, where do I go to get Center Ice?
Why do we have to have 10 different services to get the programming we want?

You wouldn't need center ice. Subscribe to ESPN+.
