We all know Macadoo was beating the drum for him. Does anybody think he'd be a star if he was a Giant? Is he that good or is the situation more of a factor? Personally I think he crashes and burns in NY with inept coaching.
Is such a huge part of NFL and it’s a piece we fans get very little window it. Would be amazing to watch a documentary series about Mahomes rookie year as a backup and see first hand how he and the coaching staff approached his development.

Linked below is an article dated April 28, 2017, the day after the first round (while the draft was still going on) suggesting that the Giants "tried to trade up to select Mahomes because head coach Ben McAdoo "loves" him and was "very upset" they weren't able to land him."
However the main point still stands... that on the day Mahomes was drafted, and before he became the superstar QB that he is today... McAdoo did in fact LOVE Mahomes and wanted the Giants to draft him.
to come into the league in a long long time (Luck may be the closest). He would have succeeded in most systems (unless he was forced to QB sneak on 3rd and 9); however, KC system absolutely maximized his success. His pairing with Andy Reid was the optimal pairing. However, he would have still be really successful with other offensive minded coaches.

With Giants he might have fared a little better than DJ. Recent team is a QB killer. I see no QB playing GREAT with past few Giant teams.

The rumor was making the rounds before the draft and AT the draft (that was the year the draft was in Philly, you might have been there and heard it too).
Yes he's awesome. But he's in the perfect situation too. I think the Giants would have hindered him
