he will do well. Curious to see who he picks to be OC.

Unbelievable: The #Broncos spent today trying to hire DeMeco Ryans AGAIN today before he recommitted to the #Texans, sources say. When he agreed to terms with the Texans, they moved and finalized Sean Payton.

I think Ryans has the potential to be a really great HC, but it's insane to me to think of Sean Payton as the consolation prize vs. a young defensive coordinator who has never been a HC at any level.
High risk/high reward with young guys: some turn into Shanahan and McVay (and we hope, Daboll); some turn into McAdoo, Judge, or Hackett. Knowing how the NFL operates, I can't imagine a team choosing between Ryans and Payton and having Ryans ahead of Payton on their list.
Like others have said or implied, alas, the Texans are a sink hole organization right now.
On the plus side, the Easterby is finally gone, so that could be a sign McNair is seeing the light.
Finally.
I think it’s great Ryans was hired as their HC, he’s a terrific coach. Honestly, I don’t care if he’s white, black, green, red, etc. Hopefully people respect that he’s earned this and don’t focus on skin color.

unfortunately they will, because that is where the NFL wants the focus.

Seemed very well thought of already in that organization and I wish him well.

I’d take Ryan’s if I were starting from scratch. I’d take Payton if I’m ready to win soon.

Didn't Denver just try a Ryan move with Hackett?
