lived in the Washington DC area during the Gibbs Beathard era. As someone said, Beathard drafted a ton of great players. RIP. God bless. Prayers to his family and friends.
He had Joe Gibbs directing his efforts, when he moved to San Diego

Re: Gibbs. Winning 3 SBs with three different QBs may be the most underrated accomplishment in the history of NFL coaching. And none of the three are in the Hall of Fame...
RE: He had Joe Gibbs directing his efforts, when he moved to San Diego
He did a great job with the brilliant Joe Gibbs. I remember reading a article when Gibbs was still in Tampa and he was the only person I believe who visited and worked out Doug Williams who he later brought to the franchise.
I was in college in that area at the end of that era. Giants Washington was such a good rivalry. RFK and the shaking stands. Grown men with pig noses. Good times. They had some passionate fans.

I would agree except for the fact that two of those super bowl wins were in strike years. Not sure how the strike affected the opposition.

I think he was the GM for the Chargers when they went to the SB in 1995.

Fake news. Chargers went to the playoffs a few times and to a Super Bowl during his time as GM
He was a scout for the Chiefs Super Bowl champion in the 60s, then director of player personnel for the Dolphins Super Bowl champs of the 70s
One of the best of all time
