It's not a setlist staple like some would think. Have seen alot of people say this since the show ended last night about TR. Saw a ton of videos from last night, it seems to me that they upgraded the sound quality from the last time they toured. I thought the sound last night was very crisp, Max's drums sounded terrific. Granted, it was from a live feed or YT video, but it stood out. There were plenty of complaints in 2016 that the sound was really poor, especially in stadiums, but you tend to get that from an outdoor show.

I might be in the minority, but I think the horn section is overkill. Just have Jake be the lead on sax. The backup singers I understand, because not everyone's voice is in prime shape like they are 35 any more. They have 19 people on stage, it's too busy, and the soul covers are a waste of setlist spots. I'd rather Bruce dive into two deep cuts from other albums every night then play two soul cover songs.
Eh...just an OK list

I would of been a little disappointed.

Here's to hoping that If I Were The Priest and Janey Needs A Shooter get good air time as the tour progresses. Those are two great songs off LTY and will translate very well to a live show, IMO.

I hope he phases out Because The Night, Out In The Street, Darlington County, and some other really tired and overplayed songs that he played way too much in 2016-2017. I understand last night was about playing comfortable songs that they could get their feet under after not being on stage together for six years, and most opening and early shows in a tour will have sets like that.
Bruce looked subdued and much slower than 7 years ago

from the internet clips. Look, the man is 73 years old and he is still great, but this was the first time I thought he showed any sign of aging.
Hopefully he works in at least one

of these three old gems from the "Letter to You" album - "Janey," "If I Were the Priest" or "Song For Orphans." Pretty typical setlist otherwise - I wish he would retire "Out in the Street."
Is “Because the Night”

Considered a cover since he co-wrote it with Patti Smith?

Probably. And because she released it firat, I believe
Steve Van Zandt lost a lot of weight.

Looks like he's back in the Glory Days music video from the mid-80s.

No 'Racing in the Street?' Bummer. That's one of Bruce's best from his best album.
No

I believe it is. Every time I see it come up anywhere it’s always credited to Patti Smith.
