as always been glad to see rasslin become successful, notwithstanding Vince Jr's lunacy, the total cheese factor that took over, etc.

But, geezus the WWF pre-Hogan days (before 1984) were so much better imv.
We always loved him as kids

The Brooklyn Brawler
I interviewed him
jvm52106 : 2/2/2023 3:25 pm : link
back in 2007/2008 thereabouts on a sports show I had in Vermont. It was a fun interview but man he was off the wall weird. But, he was very heavily anti smoking- at least as part of that interviewing and really spoke directly and with appeal to younger folks about not heading down that path.
Makes sense

"Outside wrestling, Poffo has published two books. One is a collection of poems[37] and limericks, most of which were related to drug and alcohol awareness, directed toward young children. Poffo is a vocal opponent of tobacco smoking and also published an anti-smoking book of limericks entitled Limericks from the Heart and Lungs!."

I agree. WWF was never the same after Lou Albano turned face.
