But would be great if the eagles lost.
Great season with tons of great performances means lots of people that need to be payed. This is there best shot at a superbowl for sure could be crushing to not get it.
Chiefs will win. Mahomes will be fine by the time the game rolls around, but that won’t stop him from hobbling around out there like Willis Reed, and it will go down as a heroic performance.
high ankle sprain in two weeks or even 3. Somewhere in that game, it will get tweaked by him trying to make a play. Bad team to try and play QB with a bad wheel against.
play very well and carry the offense. Willis only scored 4 points in his heroic game, his first 2 short turnaround Js. His mere presence was the inspiration that raised his team and crushed the Lakers. I remember that game as if it was yesterday.
As much as it sucks to see the Eagles in the Super Bowl,
have really been tested this year. The did beat Rodgers (albeit at the lowest point in the Packers season) but after that the only 2 decent QBs they’ve beaten were DJ and Cousins and then after that the list of QBs they’ve faced/beaten falls off a cliff. They have not had to stand toe to toe with teams as good as Cinci and Buffalo the way the Chiefs have the last 2 years. Chiefs and Reid also have all the postseason experience. Granted you only can play the teams they put in front of you, butI think people calling this Eagles team “overpowering” and “dominant” are missing the fact that they haven’t REALLY been tested at the same level the Chiefs have IMO.

LOT, think there is some merit to what you say, but you omit mention of Dallas, against which Philly split, including a 40 - 34 loss.
This is Mahomes signature game (please please please)
He is a great QB already but every great has that SB win where they raise their level to another stratosphere, make the incredible play or will the team to victory. For us its Simms playing the best game of his career or Manning magic when the game is on the line.
I am praying this is his signature moment. With the injury and then playing through, coming on the heels of a great regular season, it seems to be lining up for him to have that game. Please please please
But in terms of QBs they’ve *beaten* the one win they had against Dallas was against Cooper Rush, then they lost to Dak.
And I agree Dallas as a team was a test for Philly but I still think the likes of Buffalo and Cinci are in a class a notch above Dallas. Albeit the Chiefs are 3-4 combined against those 2 teams over the last couple years, but I’m mainly saying I don’t think Philly has been tested by a team in the same class as Chiefs/Bills/Bengals yet (49ers could’ve been that test if not for the fact they were basically on their 5th string QB).
Good time for Reid to have one of those days where when he has extra time to prepare they get off to a hot start.
Game will come down the the LOS imv. KC will need to run to keep some balance and then protect.
The bigger key to me is KC being able to somewhat limit Philly's ground attack. The D actually got better as the season played out. Time for another Spags special.
I hope the Eagles lose. Only I hope it is because of a bad call, so that the philthy fans can stew about it even more than they will if they just simply lose.

Screw that. I don't want it close. I want their faces rubbed in the shit of a beat down.
He is fucking spot on in his mantra in talking about the Philly lines. This could be a blowout. Mahomes looked very normal in the last SB he played with a bad line. The line is playing better but the Eagle DL is deep and historically good at applying pressure. A bum wheel is no bueno.
The KC offensive line actually played really well vs. the Bengals.
A couple of the sacks Mahomes avoids with a healthier ankle. For the most part Mahomes sat back in the pocket and made the throws he needed to. He was only pressured 5 times on 46 drop backs.
It's why he's the best QB in the league, he can thrive in chaos if his wheels are good, but he can thrive in the pocket too.

I agree the Eagles D Line is awesome but I disagree with your conclusions past your first sentence.
1) this KC o-line may be the best in the league, or at worst 2nd best behind the Eagles o-line. KC’s o-line is 1st in pass rush win rate. This o-line is a far cry from what that decimated KC o-like looked like against Tampa. Also that Tampa pass rush was absolutely elite, Mahomes didn’t stand a chance between that o-Line and Tampa’s pass rush- this time, yes, Philly also has a fantastic pass rush, but the huge difference this time is KC’s o-line.
2) Mahomes did not look “normal” in that super bowl vs. Tampa, he was clearly the best player on the field. I saw a stat that he ran 500+ yards in the backfield just avoiding that Tampa pressure, and meanwhile he was throwing dimes while falling down, hitting his guys in the hands and helmet only to see the ball still fall incomplete.

Philly o-line: 12th in pass block win rate, 2nd in run block win rate
