Which Mara seems likeliest to inherit

BlackLight : 2/3/2023 4:01 am
the team Presidency/ownership stake? Given that John Mara is 68, I suspect that this was settled some time ago. His brother, Tim, is a Vice-President on the team, but also in his mid-60s. After him, though, I don't see any exceptionally likely candidates among John and Tim Mara's children - that is to say, not on a career track that you'd think would put them in line for it.

Tim McDonnell of course

Through his mother Susan Mara, Tim McD effectively has a claim on the same ownership share as John and Chris.

I presume you meant to refer to Chris, since there is no "Tim Mara" in the picture now.

Yup, McDonnell is the heir apparent. He’s the only Mara with a football position outside of his uncles.
My understanding is that bw is a distant cousin

of the Maras. Assuming that to be true, who better to run Jints Central into the ground?

:)

A Commie? 😎

Actually thinking this through, Commander fan and Mara. BW is well positioned to orchestrate this.
McDonnell is concerning

Because he is coming up the ranks as a “football guy”. What does that look like by the time he’s in charge?

Hopefully all his face time with Schoen and the house cleaning this year rubs off.

His charade texting Flores and getting the Giants embroiled in that shit was pathetic.
I bet the Mara's cash in

I just started to like John again

and we're already killing him off?
Some people forget that the Mara 50% of the Giants is a family

Business with multiple owners and John Mara is designated as being in charge of the business right now. He may not even own the biggest share. His mother did before she passed away. John could choose to step down at any time or the family could decide that he should step aside, although I doubt anyone outside the family and their lawyers knows how that mechanism works. Tisch may be a similar setup though I kind of doubt it.

“Inherit” really isn’t the right term for replacing John Mara, but I would agree that Tim McDonald is likely to lead the next generation of management.

Tim Mara was Wellington’s nephew and it was the conflict between Wellington and Tim that caused George Young’s hiring.
Here for the Kate Mara pics…..

Now that their parents have passed

all 11 Mara kids own 1/11 of the Mara 50% of the Giants. It appears none of John Mara's kids are involved with the Giants day to day business. Susan Mara McDonnell is the 2nd oldest child and her son Tim has been rumored to be next in line for CEO since he joined the team in 2013.

John Mara is 68 years old. Wellington didn't completely turn over the reins to John until he passed in his late 80s. I think as long as his health doesn't fail him John will run the Giants for another 10 or so years. At that point Tim MCDonnell will be in his mid to late 40s.

I know it’s the show biz vanity thing, but she still looked good before the cutandpaste work.
