I’m not so sure the Giants use the TE that much in the offense to give him the contract he’d be looking for. That said, I think Bellinger provides everything they need as a starting TE for this team. They could bring in a low cost veteran or just go with Cager for that role. I think their focus on offense will be WR#1, IOL and possibly RB, depending on what transpires with Barkley.
Bellinger should great promise as a two way tight end. I really liked the upside of Cager. We still need a second two way tight end and I'd have no issues spending a premium pick but don't want to overpay for a 1 dimensional tight end.

I think Bellinger shows promise to be a decent TE. But not anything close to a top 10 guy. He has a knack for getting open and looks like he could be something of a decent blocker. And of course 1 yr in program/ offseason, we could see improvement
But I wouldn’t hesitate to improve area. We have many other area that take priority
Gesicki? If you’re playing him more as a pseudo WR it maybe a cheaper option than a FA wr. Like everything else, depends on cost.
Much like Freiermuth, he couldn't block anyone at psu. I say this as a fan of both. Gesicki hasn't played tight end since being drafted until this past year. They didn't do him any favors in Miami by playing him as a receiver so he's lost a couple years of development

Oh man you’re right. I used to just laugh at them for it so it was easy for me to forget all those “what about 1960” comebacks of theirs.
I do try not to give them any thought or my time but they were kind of tough to avoid, especially in the summer.
