How many games do you watch on TV per week?

just curious

I do anywhere from 3-4 Yankees games based on times and who they play.

I have half season tickets.. Just a short walk across the street..
probably 1 or 2 on average
Greg from LI : 2/7/2023 11:19 am : link
I'm too old to stay up for West Coast games anymore - even when I try, I invariably doze off by the third inning or so.
If the Yanks are on,

Sorry, every Yankees game

.
I never watch a complete game.

I usually turn on a Met game in the 6th or 7th inning and if competitive watch until the end. But innings 1-9? Almost never.
Every Yankee Game

Seldom do I miss a game.
Actively?
JayBinQueens : 2/7/2023 11:45 am : link
Maybe 1 or 2.

Passively having it on my monitor while we watch something on the TV, prob 5-6
I have the Yankees game on virtually every night

I do do other things while the game is on, like read my phone or newspaper etc. It is not like when a Giants game is on and I am giving it my undivided attention.
While I watch or listen to some of a game every night
Victor in CT : 2/7/2023 12:03 pm : link
I rarely watch or listen for the entire game. If it's nice outside I listen on the radio. Games usually run too late for me to watch all of it. Like Greg, West Coast games are out of the question for me.
1-2 per week on the radio
TJ : 2/7/2023 12:12 pm : link
sometimes I'll catch part of a game on tv

If there's a game on, it's on the TV or radio. You come and go w attention as circumstances dictate.
Rarely a full game
UConn4523 : 2/7/2023 12:44 pm : link
but I check in on most Yankees games and will pop in and out depending on what I’m doing. These days watching any game in any sport straight through is rough, my attention span doesn’t work like it used to.
Every game
mitch300 : 2/7/2023 1:30 pm : link
Unless it’s a national game( espn, fox). Then I will record the game and just fast forward to any time a man is in scoring position.
I'll watch full Braves games 3-4 nights during the week and the Sunday

games. That's assuming the games are played on Eastern or Central time zones.

I'll occasionally watch the Mets and Phillies for division purposes. Sometimes Dodgers and Padres, but it's tough with them on the west coast.

Same here, except Yanks instead of Mets.

I watch most Yanks games

on my computer on mute while still watching other things on tv with my wife. Baseball is a slow game and I don't need to see every pitch particularly with replay. It keeps the marriage happier too...and sometimes that's important. :)
Maybe not for the entire duration but most non
bhill410 : 2/7/2023 2:09 pm : link
West coast Mets games. Beauty of baseball is you can turn it on and take a nap or read a book.

Falling asleep for an inning or two at a game is under rated. Summer weather, eat a sandwich, get a little beered up and nod off a little.

I watch or listen to most Met games. Early in the season I might be more on the Knicks/Rangers if they are still having meaningful games, but will check the Mets between periods and during commercials.
When I was a kid
JoeyBigBlue : 2/7/2023 4:27 pm : link
I watched almost every Yankees game. At least 4 to 5 games a week. Now I will catch them every once in a while. I’m not invested in a baseball as I was as a kid. Adult priorities take a hold and baseball really isn’t the same game as when I was a kid.
One or two on tv but
Steve L : 2/7/2023 4:46 pm : link
I go to probably 15-20 AAA games a year though. I love it.
I used to watch just about every Mets game of the season

If not able to live I would record and watch later in the evening. Since the NL when with the DH I’ve given up watching baseball. It had been a good run as I was a fan since about 1967 or 1968.

Now if they make the playoffs I might try to catch a few minutes of the game or the highlights, if they make the WS I’d probably watch all the games.
Whole games? Not too many any more.
Matt M. : 2/8/2023 1:51 pm : link
But, parts of games, usually 3-6 games per week.
