I do do other things while the game is on, like read my phone or newspaper etc. It is not like when a Giants game is on and I am giving it my undivided attention.
While I watch or listen to some of a game every night
I rarely watch or listen for the entire game. If it's nice outside I listen on the radio. Games usually run too late for me to watch all of it. Like Greg, West Coast games are out of the question for me.
but I check in on most Yankees games and will pop in and out depending on what I’m doing. These days watching any game in any sport straight through is rough, my attention span doesn’t work like it used to.
on my computer on mute while still watching other things on tv with my wife. Baseball is a slow game and I don't need to see every pitch particularly with replay. It keeps the marriage happier too...and sometimes that's important. :)
West coast Mets games. Beauty of baseball is you can turn it on and take a nap or read a book.
Falling asleep for an inning or two at a game is under rated. Summer weather, eat a sandwich, get a little beered up and nod off a little.
I watch or listen to most Met games. Early in the season I might be more on the Knicks/Rangers if they are still having meaningful games, but will check the Mets between periods and during commercials.
I watched almost every Yankees game. At least 4 to 5 games a week. Now I will catch them every once in a while. I’m not invested in a baseball as I was as a kid. Adult priorities take a hold and baseball really isn’t the same game as when I was a kid.
If not able to live I would record and watch later in the evening. Since the NL when with the DH I’ve given up watching baseball. It had been a good run as I was a fan since about 1967 or 1968.
Now if they make the playoffs I might try to catch a few minutes of the game or the highlights, if they make the WS I’d probably watch all the games.
Passively having it on my monitor while we watch something on the TV, prob 5-6
I'll occasionally watch the Mets and Phillies for division purposes. Sometimes Dodgers and Padres, but it's tough with them on the west coast.
Same here, except Yanks instead of Mets.
