Trade deadline closing in still not a ton of chatter around the Knicks other than the rumored jazz deal. I am not in favor of the move to send obi and one first for Beasley and Vanderbilt
I’m Holding out hope they make a move for OG as long as the price is right and if there’s no deal to be made I’d keep it simple at the deadline and go get someone like Eric Gordon or a player of that caliber for a pair of 2nds.

Sources: The Knicks have expressed interest in Blazers guard Josh Hart.
Is Hart a good defender or 3 pt shooter?

Very good defender and rebounder for a wing, he can shoot the 3
Claxton is legitimately good, Cam Thomas has potential. Add in Dorian Finney-Smith, Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges and some more picks - Sean Marks can work with that.
there is no way they trade claxton. he's 23, signed cheap for next year, and would open a hole bigger than the one any available player would fill (including siakam). he's the anchor of their d and at this point they are a defense first team.

The Knicks are the 6 seed.
Their oldest rotation player is 28.
They have SEVEN 1st-Round Picks in the next 3 years.
Their 3 best players are on low-cost contracts until 2026.
The Knicks future is bright
Interesting how that doesn’t equate to the same tongue bathing that the national basketball media gave the Nets for one barely over .500 season with one playoff win.
No hes actually at 50% his 3 ball is not that great this uear though....

After tonight’s masterful scoring display down the stretch vs Orlando, Jalen Brunson now has 120 points in “clutch” situations - more than anyone else in the league.
This is to counterbalance Randle's UN clutchness in those late situations. Randle should NEVER be given the ball early in the clock to ISO. It should be Brunson creating either his own shot or setting someone else up he cuts to the basket or is wide open. Randle needs to be a clear 2B in this situation and Thibs needs to enforce that.
Last night, Brunson for 2 straight possessions late after multiple Randle bloopers refused to pass out to Randle . It resulted in a Brunson drive and score and then a Brunson drive and dish to Sims for a dunk.
Anyway, Randle should never touch the ball in clutch situations. He's not that guy. Stop forcing it. It's Brunson. Or try IQ, Grimes, or even RJ.
Best player is not always The Guy in big shot moments. When Giannis needed a big bucket in a playoff game, he gave the ball to Middleton.
Can the Nets as presently constituted really come out the East? I think thats asking alot of Durant. But if you get a full buy in from him for this season and beyond, they have a pretty nice roster and I wouldn't deal him.
He's also 34 years old who is unpredictable to say the least and a constant injury risk. Very difficult decision.
I also can't believe Phoenix is bringing in Isiah Thomas... good lord.
No Nash. No Kyrie. Two huge pluses.
lol at no kyrie being a plus. The dude is amazing at bball. The Nets have no shot as currently constructed.
I dont think so. Would need to see to believe.

Include Boston in that as well and possibly Miami.
I think the bigger question is if they can reload for next year and be a contender. But if I'm Sean Marks I need an absolute godfather offer before the deadline to pull the trigger.
ESPN Sources: Lakers G Russell Westbrook and coach Darvin Ham had a brief, heated verbal exchange in the halftime locker room on Tuesday vs. OKC. Ham expressed frustration with how Westbrook lingered on the playing floor after getting subbed out of game late in second quarter.
Voices were raised in locker room, but discussion turned back to trying to win game vs. Thunder, sources said. Ham closed game with Westbrook, who had a season-high 14 points in fourth quarter. Ham and Westbrook dapped up prior to leaving arena later in night.
bahahaha.
Certainly possible that things would be magnified in NY simply because there's *more* media in NYC and how the Knicks are sometimes covered differently than other teams (for a variety of reasons). Then again, in the current media landscape everybody is so quick to jump to the next story so who knows.
I think at minimum Rose to Milwaukee..
Knicks do have 2 extra spaces

God I hope they don't sign Westbrook
